An Individual F8x Centre Console (Alcantara)

I decided to make this centre console as to me that part of the interior with the cheap plastic surround, really lacks any appeal. Luckily I was able to source OEM alcantara for the perfect blend with the M-Performance parts in the car already.

Spec:

*OEM alcantara custom finished with m-stitching
*Nappa leather knee pad with m-stitching

I am not a fan of the silver trims on the cupholder surrounds and PDC switch trim, so I also customised these to matte black

Appreciate that and I'd happily make one for you to custom spec but getting a LHD console here in the UK is very difficult and I doubt you want to ship yours out to have it done. Too much down time of the car if you do as turnaround would be 2 weeks from the point I would get it.

To be fair it flows very nicely even with non-cs as it works so well with the alcantara gear shifter surround with continuity from the parking brake cover and alcantara arm rest if you have it.

I like to be meticulous so mass production is not on the cards right now, I do other alcantara pieces which are intricate but again worth the while

Unfortunately BMW were too focused on repurposing parts from the F3x chassis, as with most car manufacturers to think about such individual options. As the smallest of customer research would've got them the answer that their is a want and desire for such things.

Haha firstly thanks and quality alcantara wears very well, you just need to keep it treated and clean it at the right intervals. All my alcantara trims look fresh, as I don't allow them to get too dirty and clean them when required, no different to the treatment and attention that leather needs really. Although you may way to keep a detailing brush in the car to keep dust particles off the material for that clean look/finish.

A quick update, I've accepted an order from a fellow forum member from Florida, so if anyone was looking to reduce overall shipping costs to the UK of their centre console, then if it suited, you could possibly ship the consoles in one parcel.

Worth noting I am happy to cover the cost of the return delivery back to you.

Watch this space, as I'll have an update soon on the custom finished alcantara centre console commissioned by the customer (who can make themselves known if they choose to)
