[QUOTE=Modaddict79;23018551]The VRSF pipe does not have a resonator, it still uses the stock resonator past the secondary cats. It simply replaces the secondary cats. I'll try to get some install pics this morning.

Looking forward to see videos and hear some soundclips.
Have a 2015 F83 with VRSF dp and bm3 and thinking about these midpipes instead of a way more expensive MPE exhaust. Please share first impressions!

This is my point.
I chopped out the secondary cats at origin and put two short pieces of straight pipe in their place. I didn't touch the central resonator. It was far to raspy for me. Although very very loud. You need some kind of resonator or x configuration to remove that rasp. It's much cheaper to go to an exhaust shop and chop the cats out at origin if you want the type of sound this pipe or any non resonated straight midpipe will give you. This pipe is no different to OEM configuration except it deletes the secondary cats. Otherwise, get an xpipe configuration or resonated mid pipe if you want a deeper sound without as much rasp at high rpm. |

Ok, Mid Pipe installed! Overall, I think this is a great upgrade. Car specs: ZCP M3, JB4 Map 2, 6 gallons E85, Drop in filters. Power increase is noticeable. I have yet to bang through the gears, just mid RPM romps, and I like the sound. It's louder, deeper, and more pronounced. Burbles sound great. As for RASP, I haven't noticed anything that I don't like. I'll try and update with sound video's later.
Install: took my guy 1 hr 30 minutes. Had an issue with the mid pipe flang being much thicker that the factory pipe. He ended up punching the bolt studs off factory flange and using longer bolts to make connection. Had it lined up perfectly, the factory shoulder bold would have only had several threads to bite on and torque down. |

There is definitely some rasp up top but otherwise the car is just insanely loud now. I like it. I will get some fly by and WOT passes this weekend. |

Is it just me or do the burbles sound like really loud nuts and bolts shaking in a tin can?

I'll be passing on these. It's very suspect that VRSF doesn't have a single pic on the car, or video supporting their product. Not to mention the only two reviews make mention that they needed to modify the existing exhaust for this system to fit, which is redic If you ask me. Looks like I'll drop double and go with the trusted AA setup.
