Hi Op,
I think you should just pay the diagnostic fee and move forward. Knowing that your car is out of warranty and still towed the car to Parkview, it was an act to ask Parkview servicing your car (at least to diagnose the problem). I agree with you that the $10K proposed service fee is ridiculous, but at least now you know where the problems are by paying $500 tax in. I would not have my car parked at a dealership for more than a day, unless it is required to perform certain services, because you will get door dings and scratches. Cars are moving in and out by customers, valet and mechanics, and they don't care if cars are parking very close to each other. Then, you have another issue to deal with. Disclaimer: I don't have good experience with Parkview either. Hope this helps. Last edited by BBDC5; 05-18-2022 at 09:30 AM.. |

Not Canadian, but I would show up and make a scene, start fussing at people until you get to a manager, haggle the fee down and pay it then leave them a bad review. Could even call corporate and express your discontent, I've done that before many times. Under no circumstance would I EVER leave my car at a dealer though. It's liable to be driven and beat the balls out of, hit in the parking lot, you never know. For $360 I'd definitely want my car home.
