When you see it in person you will quickly understand. It can look anywhere from a very soft blue to a deeper blue like you see in his pics.

The photos I hosted are RAW format with no post processing... I don't process any of my pics. The pictures I've posted look the same as what I seen with my own eyes when I took the pictures.

EDIT: Here is a good example of the look from shade to sun.

I own a Yas M3 and Vectors' pics are extremely accurate in representing the color as it looks. The color does change in varying light and does look smurfy at times but mostly it looks like a pastel metallic light blue. It looks very exotic and sporty with all black accents.

BMW did really well on three colors, Yas, SO and AY. Of the three AY is utterly stunning in person and I wish I had the balls to pull the color off day to day. I just don't think it goes well with a red interior which I wanted.

It can look rich like AirPowers pics under certain lighting conditions (shade or a covered garage), but his pics definitely have filters applied (or HDR maybe?). To the naked eye in the lighting conditions from his pictures it would appear a bit more pale like all the other outdoor pictures.

Count me as another as well. I'm doing YMB with 18" wheels as well. They look light-years better than the two-tone 19"s imo.

I'll try and get some more up. I haven't done my winter detail just yet, so I've been pretty lax with the pics.

I try my best to portray what the color looks like because it's so hard to photograph. I'd have to say that this lighting is the way I like to see the color the most. Pictures even have a hard time capturing what I see in this lighting with the metallic flakes hitting the sun.

Thanks, man.

The 18s are great. I stayed 18 with aftermarket wheels as well.

Extremely accurate. I picked mine up at the welt on the 11th and that is the exact color I saw in person.

To me that was when i knew the YMB was a great choice. Some of the other colours just blend in and go unnoticed.
when it attracted a bunch of guys? jk.

My YMB regret is that I didn't get it

Drove down to see one in person today and really liked it. Here are some pictures. It was overcast and definitely a darker blue because if that I think. Almost seemed to have a slight purplish hue to it. I need to go back down and see it in the bright sunlight now. I know doesn't really answer the question of regrets but at least wanted to post some more pictures.

Yes it can come off as slightly purplish, especially under fluorescent, yellowish lights.

What kind and percentage of tint are you running?

It's 18% rear, and 25% front(Tx legal).

Nope! None whatsoever! I love the way the color shifts under different lighting conditions.

If not for YMB, I would have picked Fire Orange or Ferrai Red, but extra $$$$ s made me dislike them

Here's mine. This is what you get when you zoom from a phone camera!

Do you all get a lot of attention at gas stations with this color since it's not the typical bland car color?
