Ouch! A 26%+ premium over a ZCP.

About $90K without any discounts. You should be able to get 6% off that.

Base MSRP $77000
ZCP $6500
DCT $3900
Premium Package $4500 (needed for full leather)
Executive Package $5000 (needed for full leather)
Speed Limit Info $350
Smart Phone Package $750

M3 with options $98000
M3 CS $113550

So a M3 CS comes in at around $15500 higher compared to a M3 ZCP with comparable options. It's not a bad deal considering the added 2 tone leather interior, carbon fibre hood, carbon fibre front lip, special paint (if your take it), extra hp, m performance wheels with cup2 tires, and being a somewhat limited production car.

I agree regarding the special paint and dual zone is probably not as sought after as I think it is. If only it came with a MT option though! What do you think of polymer side door material? I have to admit this was something I personally didn't like as much now that I'm familiar with my Silverstone interior .

Definitely a cool car and I'm excited to see these on the road. What color did you have in mind? Lime Rock?
I am with you, I am not a big fan of the presumed lightweight door cards. I prefer the full leather interior of the M3CS. However I wonder if the cardboard doorcards have an effect on sound deadening and consequent driving experience (sound rawness).

Hmm I guess we'll find out once you get yours. They'll definitely be very easy to maintain versus leather however.

The more I look at it, I am finding the pricing and packaging to be in the range I expected. It is also important to consider that we are getting the M4CS almost fully loaded in Canada, with only the CCB and alcantara steering wheel being cost options.

Items that are cost options in other countries:
  • Exterior colours other than white
  • Electric seats with driver's side memory
  • Heated seats
  • Park Distance Control
  • Rear view camera
  • Iconic full adaptive headlights
  • High Beam Assistant
  • HUD
  • Speed Limit Info
  • Connected Drive
  • Apple Carplay
  • Sirius XM Satellite radio
  • Alarm system

You have to consider a 6% discount for a M3. The CS will come with zero discount guaranteed. So thats about 20k difference.

If those are the drive away prices they are cheap! UK dealers can't sell them at all but then again they have them up for 90-100k sterling.

It important to point out that prices in Canada exclude any taxes. In Quebec, you need to add 15% of tax. But even with taxes, it is around 74,500GBP for an M3CS, a fair bit less than the 90k plus you see in the UK.

We are lucky, when considering the exchange rate, Canada probably is the cheapest place in the world to buy an ///M car.

I hope you've placed your order! I think the UK dealers will have to drop them to 75k to shift them, they are punting out 69k list CP cars for 50k at the moment the market is softening over here only so much people are willing to pay.

The best discount I got on a new M3 was £18k so sometimes the retails can be misleading, do you get good discounts on top of the low RRPs as well?

It depends on the timing. When I bought my current M4 in the summer of 2014, there was not much room for negotiation but I was still able to get 4% off. Folks in this very thread seem to be saying that 6% off is common these day (with the "newness" gone away). A far cry from the 25%+ rebates off MSRP you guys are getting . I guess they set the MSRP closer to what the market is willing to pay in Canada.

We have huge discount mind set over here, I think the MRSP is set high just to allow a 20%-30% discount and make you feel like you've got a "deal"

My first e92 M3 was 39k (25% off list) second had 29% off, M5 was 20% off etc....

We also do a lot pre registered cars the dealers take a new car register it and then offer a huge discount like the 69k to 50k example, current factory orders are around 20% off.

That probably explains why the CS are priced so high in the UK. As you said, dealers will have no choice than to offer similar discounts to get them off the lots. It also confirms that comparing MSRP between countries is quite pointless.

Concur 6% is pretty much the norm right now, both Brian Jessel and Park Shore offered 6% right off the bat. I think I can eke out another 1% but probably it.

Since you're buying a new one now, are you considering the CS?

Has to be manual, so CS is out of the question

The autoshow typically has a $1000 incentive that you can apply.

If you're part of BMW club, you have the option of another 2%

BMW club 2% discount was not offered on the M4 GTS and M2. I doubt it will be applicable to the CS cars as well.

Further to this, even the 30 jahre was excluded from any discounts. This is according to my dealer anyways.

Did dealer rfuse it or BMW customer service?

On the 17 M3 ZCP I used it without any issues (Feb 2017 build) so why would they say no to M2. Maybe M3 is no longer up there on the list lol
