It's never up to the dealer. It doesn't come out of the dealers profit anyways.

It's just very simple logic of supply and demand, they don't need to offer it because the demand far exceeds the supply.

With the prices of the GTS falling in USA, I think it's a smarter decision to pick up one those bad boys than get the CS.

To me, the CS doesn't really have an identity like previous limited models such as the CRT or CSL.

The M4GTS does not have a rear seat, hence it doesn't have any appeal to me. I also find the aero rather obnoxious and I am not a fan of the heavy 666M wheels. I am not after exclusivity, I want a nice blend of DD practicality and track performance. That is what got me in my first M3 in 2001 and why I keep coming back.

What I love about the M3/4 is that they offer a great compromise. However, if I'd have two cars of my own, I wouldn't need to compromise. Therefore, most likely, neither of them would be an M3/4 .

Do you guys think these cars will be selling significantly over sticker? Will they hold their residual values and if so, will the M3 CS or M4 CS hold their residuals the most/sell over sticker more?

Thanks

I think the M3CS will hold its value better since it is a limited edition. It should still depreciate over time though, but to a lesser degree than a regular M3. The M4CS should do no better than a regular M4 since they will be churning out as many as they can until end of production. Probably over 3000...
Over sticker? For the first few months of production may be. For sure, don’t count on getting any deals on those.
A lot of people with too much money in the bank are already lining up.

I doubt they will sell “over sticker” in Canada. The CS do not offer huge value for the price they command. My dealer has 2 allocations for the M3CS that they need to roder prior Feb-10th with no customers. I am pretty sure they will offer discounts at some point once they show up on the showroom floor.

They will, if either the dealers hang on to them or a bunch of leasing companies buy and flip them down the road.

Keep in mind, the 30 Jahre's were going for at least MSRP if not above. There are even a couple available right now for over MSRP and this car is nothing like the CS.

Why is a brand new MY2016 still available for sale in 2018? The dealers can try whatever they want to get more money out of the consumers, at the end of the day the demand will dictate the price and clearly the 30 Jahre has no demand. If they are still trying to get MRSP or higher they will be sitting on dead inventory for decades in hopes that 30 years down the road it will be worth more.

The car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. The CS and every other production car falls into the same bucket.

LCMT is nice, so plan a trip here. I’ve only went twice then and that was it, but it’d be nice to meet some folks up there for supper. Maybe we plan it when Mr xXx gets his CS (although being in his M4 felt I was in a rocket ship )

I'll try to come out for an event in June or July. We should try to coordinate one where we are all there, would be fun. I need to get some rcomps and brake pads first.

Now I'm intrigued to see CanAut on the track and see what all the fuss is about.

Benzima start planning
As for Nik, I never said he’s Michael Schumacher, I said he’s Mr xXx seeing is one thing, being in the passenger seat is another ballgame! How about oversteer correction at 100kph+, I was shitting in my pants (aside from throw up in my mouth), he turns at me, “that was cool”

But to all, please be safe, this isn’t a Hollywood movie. Do not drive like this at home!
