Looks like she may be waiting for some of the larger ships coming the other direction. Having been stationed there, IIRC, there are some tight spots along the canal. I saw a couple of "Panamax" ships heading toward Gatun Locks, perhaps once they pass through the narrow spots, they'll start sending ships through that are waiting in Gatun Lake. Full transits of the Canal typically take between 10hrs and 18hrs, so she should be through Mira Flores by the end of the day...

BTW, if anyone ever travels to Panama for some reason, and likes fishing, Gatun Lake has awesome Bass fishing.

Approaching Gamboa. After Gamboa she'll be in the actual "canal" part of the Panama Canal (as opposed to Gatun Lake / Rio Chagres). Won't be long before she'll be going through the first set of downhill locks at Pedro Miguel.

Edit: Heading into the locks at Pedro Miguel now...

So looking at the Marine Traffic website they now list the next port of call as Port Hueneme due in on the 10th. That is one day earlier than originally listed. Also, it looks like we will not be stopping at San Diego or anywhere else first.

Awesome pics coming through the locks... Go bessy go. Love that she's ahead of schedule. My goal is to take my 3 year old to the LA auto show in the new ride, looks like it should be possible
