Do like the body style, but is that a power dome on the hood?
Why on Earth would an Inline-6 Twin-Turbo need that? Did they raise it up to look bigger or something like the V8?
IMO BMW is now faking the funk by sticking with a power dome for an Inline-6. They should just add the dome to every future 335 series as well. LOL!
I hope this was sarcastic lol, the E46 M3 had an I6 and a power dome. It was never for clearance back then, it looks badass.

lol. BMW's turbo engines might not have much throttle lag, but in comparison to my M3, they have minutes of lag. And we're not talking about just stoplight racing but at speed when you stab the throttle of the M3, it instantly changes power to the ground. Go ahead and drive one and coast at 40mph in 2nd gear then stab the throttle and watch what happens. I guarantee you the turbos don't do that. BMW might pull some magic on the new M3/4 with an electric turbo, but for now, the turbos have some lag in comparison to the E9x M3.

I'm sure this new M will be a fast car but it won't share the same driving dynamics and emotion of past generations.

I have a 2009 n54 335i and while the turbo lag is minimal there's definitely a lag make no mistake about it. I've accepted the fact that most manufacturers are phasing out their NA engines, but if u think there's no lag you're kidding yourself or forgot what instant throttle response feels like. (I know I'm starting too)

** Sounds much different that earlier camo cars, that's pretty cool.

I think the car sounds sweet, that's a lot of exhaust for a factory car. Esp comparted to the 335i. mules that just sounded like FFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT. (I like 335's just said that to demonstrate the difference in perception).

This car is going to be unbelievable. Which will hopefully tank e90 M3 prices so I can buy one

BMW isn't stupid. I have a hard time believing they would replace the zero lag V8 with something that isn't at least as good.

Have you driven the new M5 and the E60 M5? There's IMO a lot that is better in the E60 including the overall feel and definately throttle response. I think the new M3 will be awesome but I don't expect the engine to be as responsive as the S65. If it is, it will be an unexpected bonus.

Sometimes I wish the same but then I think about how frustrating it would be when my recommendations to make the car ever more hardcore would consistently be voted down by management...

Looks like the car will sit a lot lower than the E92 and the rear wheels archers look more pumped and aggressive. Aesthetically looks a nice car but still not sold by the the turbo business. For the time being I will keep the V8 E92, and when I am bored (hopefully that will not happen) then I will think about it. May be I might want a less aggressive engine when I enter my 50s.

The M4 will be a BEAST! I definitely believe that BMW M will step to the plate on this one. The E92 M3 is GREAT, but I believe that the M4 will be even better. Just like the 997 911 vs the 991 911. No one thinks the 997 is anything but awesome, however, the 991 just raised the bar that much more (with only a slight step back with EPS). However, the EPS in the 991 GT3 is the same mechanical set up as the regular 911 with only software changes, so its possible to make the base 911 that much better through software manipulation. I drove a 991 S and I felt the steering was excellent, and I realize I am a novice driver.

I hope you are right. If so I am going to pick up a couple examples in rare colors and just sit on them for a long long time. I believe we are seeing an end to an era because of mpg regulations, similar to the end of muscle cars in the 60's-70's. I can see old retirees paying top dollar for E9x M3's at Barret Jackson in ~30 years.

Certainly looks a lot more agressive than the e92 m3. Can't wait to hear the reviews comparing this and the previous generation. But I'm dying to hear more about the F80 M3

I think the new car will look stunning, it will be faster than its predecessor

But I wont want one, because its engine will be either a) laggy and buggy or b) not laggy bc they added some electric turbo, but then it becomes the single most complicated road going mass produced engine...cant wait to see it break down in little bits, dont want to be there for the crumble

having owned a 335i w/n54...three fuel pumps and 1000 excuses later, I'm ready to skip owning a turbo bmw

e90m3 for me...doesnt mean im not oogling a new m4 or m3 when they roll by
