She's a beauty and a keeper. 6MT... 14,700 miles. Love this car. Not the fastest out there, but plenty fast enough to scare me at times.

But, agreed, if I do want a do it all car again especially in a MT there really is no other choice but an M3. |

F80 is a keeper. Always intend to buy cars with the intent to keep em for the long run. About to complete 14 years with my E46 since new and it has been a solid car. Wouldn't expect anything less with the F80.

I’d love to keep my F80, but it’s probably going to be cheaper to buy a different M3/M4 sitting on the used car lot than it would be to buy my own M3

I will likely keep mine as long as it makes financially sense. The car checks all my interests. I had kept my previous car for almost 12 years - pretty much ran it to the ground.
Personally - I am not into getting a newer model of the same car. That is my choice. Everyone has their own, no wrong answers.

I have bought 2016 F80 with the intent of keeping for at least 5 - 10 years, and see what the next M3 would look like. Fast forward 3.5 years later I was looking to get a new car and knowing that the new M3 will be available in at least 1-2 years, I went ahead and got a 2020 M4 competition 6MT. Couldn't be happier was able to negotiate almost 9K off MSRP and I got Nardo Grey as a free option on the car.

~1800 units sold overall and LS7 naturally aspirated engine are just super intriguing to me (if I were to somehow decide to get a Camaro over a vette) |

Sounds like the Camaro is done after this gen again as the sales just aren't there. Unless there is a big surprise reveal their almost certainly won't be a Gen 6 Z/28, which is a shame because this chassis/suspension is amazing. People on forums are always talking about collectable cars, the last gen Z/28 would have a great shot at being one of those cars if it is the last of the Z/28s. Another thing that won't happen would be a last ZL1 variation with the LT5, which would be unreal. The car is already bonkers with the LT4. They are all porky though, no getting around that. |

All of this discussion aside, I couldn't afford to w2w these new car muscle cars by a long shot, and the cost of heavily tracking at driving events a 3800lb car with wide R comps and v8 fuel thirst honestly gives me some pause. |

Keeping my F82.
When the wife's Audi lease is up, I'm going to convince her to get the G80 M3.

Yes... which brings us to my real answer:
Steadfast dedication to the F80 platform at the moment. No way I'm leaving anytime soon. You'd have to pry this car out of my cold, dead hands. That said, I'm sure I will end up leaving in ~2 years as the miles rack up and go for a P-car. Or maybe even the G80... if, by some divine miracle, it ends up looking good in final form/on the street. The way that grille looks now, I could never be convinced to own that thing. Not even if it came with Margo Robbie in the passenger seat (or trunk) |
