Question YMB: Help Needed!

For all those peeps that have been able to make it to one of the many auto shows with the M3/M4 can you can you give your opinion of YMB to help those of us who are not lucky enough to see the M3/M4 in person and are considering it.

I know many of your opinions are already scattered across multiple threads but it would be convenient to have them all in one place. I also added a poll

I thought YMB looked even better in person than in photos.

Don't worry about it. If you like it, that is all that matters. Don't listen to what other people say.

I like the color in 90% of the pictures I've seen. It's just that there have been a few pics/vids that have made it look very pale and I'm not a huge fan of that. I have no problem with a light blue, I just don't want a pale blue.

Thanks for the feedback!

I would agree... But as someone who has not had a chance to seeing in person (& with every photo looking like a different shade) it would be interesting to see what others think about the color after seeing it in person.

I may consider ymb if they offer 100% black 19 inch wheel.
I think ymb will look great with upcoming cf performance parts.
As for now, I am 50/50 about this color.

I can't see myself spending 4-5k on aftermarket wheels since stock 19 inch is well made forged wheel. I rather spend that money to do something that actually increase power output.

Have the stock ones powdercoated. I agree with you though. All black wheels would be better, especially if they were matte instead of gloss.

The problem with seeing it at the show is that those lights make for weird colors. For instance, I have noticed that the outdoor shots from Daytona look quite a bit different than what I saw in person yesterday. Under the show lights, the car looks like it has much more green to it. It seems from the outdoor pics that it's much less green and closer to Phoenix Yellow.

One of those colors your'e going to have to see outside.

It's baby blue. If you like it, you like it. Lots of folks (including me) don't.

Workers at other manufacturers' stands in Detroit were making fun of it FWIW. Lexus, Caddy and Porsche all had darker-blue world-premiere cars that looked wonderful on their stands.

That's funny. Porsche makes Mexico Blue, which is in the same color Spectrum as Yas Marina and Laguna Seca. Spiteful I say.

Wink

I saw YMB is person yesterday in Detroit. Again, it varies with lighting and the spotlights there tend to make it look pale. In the Cobo garage the car looked a lot more reasonable. The CF roof adds a awesome contrast to the color.

Even if Porsche has a color like YMB, only BMW put it on a World Premiere car.

I know. But my point was that on strange colors, they can be distorted by photography and the show lights. Need to see them in person.
