M4 Comp No Pops and bangs

Hello guys, I bought a Bmw m4 F82 Competition Lci. It was stage 2. Magnum Force intake, AWE track edition exhaust, Downpipe, Garrett Chargecooler and Chargepipes, J-pipes etc. It had a custom map on it, the car ran perfectly, I downloaded bm3 and did stage 2 with popcorn tune. I did a reset all adaptation and the car got a drivetrain fault. After a week I put the old map back and the errors went away but the pops and bangs disappeared. Who can help me? Is it up to Calibration or? I checked Bimmerlink “Sound tuning” but is ON.Also lost GTS start uo

I’d be jumping for joy if pops and bangs disappeared!!

However, assuming you want them, have you tried reinstalling the stage 2 tune with the pop and bangs setting you want? What fault code(s) were stored?

I haven't installed stage 2 because I'm afraid I'll lose my custom map. That's why I don't try. Because my car goes much better on the custom map and doesn't shut off when I touch the gas. Stage 2 Bm3 is not the best for me. I just wanna add pops and bangs on my custom map, nothing else

Funny you should say that as I liked mine when it was stock and then for a while when I got stage 2 with DP.

But they can be quite strict in Germany with noise(you can’t use your washing machine at certain times on a Sunday in case you annoy your neighbours!)

So I used BimmerLink to turn them off as no matter what customisations I made on bootmod it still sounded like a machine gun!

No even with valves closed it sounds great. Pure sound. Less gimmicky

So if they limit the times you can run your washing machine, what about grass cutting which is way more annoying than a washing machine?

You can’t cut your grass or wash your car AT ALL on Sunday! It’s mental

So everyone cutting their grass, cleaning their clothes and washing their cars on Sat is ok?
