I actually contacted the manufacturer asking if they still had the old design left in stock.

They stated the design change to a thicker lip was due to some issues they had at higher speeds with the previous design.

May pull the trigger on the new design soon.

And yeah, this front lip sure takes a beating. Wipe it down with a wet towel after scraping it and looks like nothing even happened

The Lightweight Lip fits perfectly, it actually contours around the flap so you know you have it lined up correctly.

Yes we offer a painted option for this.
