Hey bud

So I have a 2018 M6 gran coupe. Just picked up the obdcx adapter and got the full BimmerCode software. Did the coding and got the “successful” messages on the things I wanted like CarPlay full screen but nothing changed. Still half screen and mirrors won’t fold up as desired upon locking.

My firmware is NBTEVO_L , what can we do ?

Incredible shoutout to Rob Hebb and EasyBimmerCoding for making this happen! I was told 3 years ago (on this forum) I'd need new hardware to get CarPlay in my 2016 F80 (full screen was completely out of the question), but Rob and his team assured me they could make it happen. To say I'm stoked and beyond happy is an understatement! Decided to do two things…
1: Make a full detailed video outlining everything needed, including the steps from beginning to end.
2: Work with EBC, and pass along a 20% off code for fellow enthusiasts

Forgive me, I am new to this forum and not at all handy but having recently purchased my 2019 X3 M40i off lease (something I never thought I’d do), I’ve decided to explore the possibility of finally activating full screen Apple CarPlay.

There are a LOT of posts to wade through in these forums so if someone could sort of summarize the procedure and maybe provide me with the necessary links, I’d really appreciate it. I’m ok working with computers and simple electronics but as I said, I’m ridiculously bad mechanically and I’m lost with most tools. Also, if there’s a free or low-cost not-too-complex way to accomplish this, I’d be more inclined to proceed. It seems kind of ridiculous that BMW, a so-called “upscale” automobile company, has never offered the full screen upgrade…at least not that I’m aware of. Thanks.

Hi all, I just finished working with kubax86 to code CarPlay full screen option and other goodies on my 2018 F82 and I can definitely recommend the work they do! After reading the comments here and the reviews I contacted them via bimmer-remote.com and got an answer right away with next steps. Working with them remote was very easy and once I had everything ready they connected and did their magic. So definitely a recommended way to get this done, very fast professional and knowledgeable!
