Car stalls out with jb4

I have had my jb4 in my 16m3 for almost six months now. And it has been great, I switch between map 2 and map 5 with no problems. However For the past week though it's been stalling out when I stop or try to go. It's not every time. I have tried switching to a few different gasses including 93 with a little e85 and it's still doing it. I also tried reducing to map 1 and it's still doing it. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Did you try switching to map 0 or removing it completely and see what happens then?

Nope no codes, it's usually when I'm at a stop and try to go that it stalls

I set it to map 0 today. It is showing a check engine light now. I'm hoping driving it for a while will clear it. I will scan it when I got home for codes.

And I have tried several different gas stations and even a blend of 3 Gallons of e85 mixed in and it still stalled.

Most likely related to downpipes if you have them. I don't think your problem is related to the JB4. 100% far from it actually. I would scan the codes that show up and go from there.

Read the fault codes and if you think the problem might be JB4 related engage their tech support directly for assistance.

Check your spark plugs. One of the electrodes might have broke off.

If you can find someone with Rheingold tho, it would be helpful. It would tell you the meanings behind those three codes. Or anyone with a Snap On scanners that's been updated

I think those codes are in the MAF sensor family. Maybe a busted MAF sensor if no intake is installed? Was an intake ever installed?

Are you running an oiled air filter? Could have residual build up on your MAF sensor

Yea, well it's always been randomly jumpy, so that explains that lol but I guess the cold air compensated and now that it's hot the car couldn't handle it. Or at least that is my theory.

So how does the car run now with your MAF sensor plugged back in lol? Aside from not cutting off or showing codes anymore, does it appear to still "search for a smooth idle" & jump at idle? Or is the idle smooth as stock too now?

I've been preferring to go the K & N route with charcoal delete for my intake but the supposed "foiled MAF sensors due to oil getting on them" is concerning me. That can be annoying as hell when I'm trying to tune my car and something is off because of THAT😏 I'm assuming the BMC filters don't ever need to be oiled? Just washed?
Does there filter element flow as well as the tried and true K & N? Sorry for the tangent but a reply would be appreciate --> From someone who owns either or a vendor that sells both please thanks👍

I had the auto code delete turned off so I guess that's why I never saw the codes.
