Lease takeover -- Proof of maintenance
Tried to do a search but didn't find anything.
What's the rule on returning a lease and having to supply proof of basic maintenance (like oil changes)? Are you OK to use a 3rd party shop as long as you have a receipt of work? How many miles per oil change interval are they expecting? https://www.bmwusa.com/explore/bmw-v...onditions.html Would standard oil changes and tuneups be covered under the above BMW Ultimate Care? Thanks in advance. |

New vehicles (2017 +) include 3 years/36k mile basic scheduled maintenance. Essentially just oil changes and vehicle checks. BMW expects these to be done at the dealer and show up on the vehicle history report. The interval is every year or 10k miles. I would make sure any lease you are trying to take over has had the services done on time. You are liable to be charged up to $700 i believe at lease end if the service was not done properly.
2016 model year vehicles and older included 4/50 of maintenance and included brakes and wiper blades. |

When you own The Ultimate Driving Machine®, you should get the service to match. All new MY17 BMW vehicles and newer come with BMW Ultimate Care. BMW Ultimate Care consists of scheduled maintenance for the 3-year/36,000 mile (non-transferable), whichever comes first. Non-transferable, boo! |
