Oil pan leak

My local independent shop informed me I have a minor oil leak from the pan gasket and that it will need replacing in the near future. Are there any other good maintenance items that can be addressed with the oil pan off? I'm trying to consolidate this into a single trip to the shop instead of several. Car is a 15' DCT with 39k miles.

Owner's manual has a mileage breakdown.

Got it, but none of the owners manual service intervals include a service that would require the shop to drop the oil pan. What I'm wondering is if there are any major service items that are accessible at the same time that would be good to address.

You’re just out of warranty? Maybe dealer can goodwill replacement.

Luckily our platform doesn’t seem to have rod bearing issues, so potentially any suspension pieces that may need inspection since they most likely need to drop it. Maybe clean the oil cooler fins

I don't think so. I haven't come across anything.

I just got the same thing. It's 8-10 hours to replace the gasket. They have to drop the front sub frame. I may do the crank hub fix at the same time as that's about 1/2 the labor.

I had a similar issue but the labor time and cost wasn't stated on my repair invoice.

This sounds about right I was quoted about 8.5-9hr to drop sub frame and pan for replacement. All in with labor and parts quote is around $1150 including a front end alignment since the subframe is being dropped. Good to know my indy shop is in the ballpark.

I was considering the crank hub fix as well but contrary to alot of forum opinion, I'm not convinced the extra $2000+ expense is worth it at this point.
