Stunning, is anyone irked though by the fact that our F80 M3's don't get the trim finisher extended on to the door cards, the F30/31 gets it and so does the F82 but not the F80.

If you look at your dash trim, below the carbon is a black chrome "trim finisher"

In the F82 and standard 3/4 series that trim finisher extends on to the door cards, but on our F80 it's just plain black plastic it sits just above the door handle and below the door cap.

I quite like the feature and find it odd that it's not on our cars.

I had not noticed, but now I know.... It does look like a pretty shit now looking at it properly...

I wondered if it was possible to order the trims in black chrome and then retrofit them as they should just pull off.

if you can I up for that mod now I see it, it does cheapen the door look.

not sure now the down lights underneath might affect it though.

another thing was wondering about. didn't someone mention the cup holders were upgraded with a sliding tray or something?

Been having a look:

So it only lists Black for part 5 for f80 and even looking in the f30 you can't get black chrome

If it's anything like the F10 then you can just lift and pop them out the lights don't affect the removal, but as you've pointed out no point as the part doesn't exist.

Unless they will make them for a cost, which I presume they would given the individual ones i have seen for the states.

First mod, eBay carbon mirror caps.

First thought different weave. Bit never mind.

Done a quickck whistle test drive and nothing to note, fit is pretty good, cost £180. Given the weave doesn't match probably a little much. But I'm happy enough with them

I think the roof is 1 x 1 and even the BMW carbon caps are 2 x 2 like the spoiler and splitters.

Looks good.

ah right didn't know the oem ones were 2x2 that is alright then. in that case they are an 8 out of 10.
