Springs vs BMW Performance Suspension Kit on F80

After looking around I was thinking of getting the BMW Performance Suspension kit. I think its like 1200 on the low end kit. Then I started looking into springs only which is around 400. I remember when I had my mustang I just put on springs and eventually had to change shocks because the original shocks are made for riding at stock height. I had to buy shocks that accommodate the shorter springs. I see some springs claiming that they are made for the factory shocks. I also notice the BMW suspension kit does not come with shocks either but its OEM BMW for the F80. I guess the question is if both are lowering my car and neither come with shocks, besides the adjustability on the BMW suspension kit will I wind up with the same problem? Having to buy new shocks at some point in time? Thanks for any help.

First of all stock shocks are somewhat cheap especially when bought slightly used. Depending on springs some will ruin them quicker than others. I personally cant justify 1,200 on M Performance HAS kit because if i would rather bite the bullet, drop another grand and get coil-overs. In my opinion if you are not planning to play around with height adjustability, just get some mild springs

in addition to height adjustability, you can corner balance on the HAS but not on springs if that's important to you.
