2. Is there transportation available to the BMW Welt upon my arrival in Germany? - A complimentary shuttle service is available. This service is limited to one transfer from the airport to either your hotel in
downtown Munich or the BMW Welt. To make your reservations please contact Sixt Customer Service by

Email: BMW-EDPshuttle@sixt.com or Telephone: +49 89 210 310 02, providing the following information:
  • First and Last Name
  • Telephone Number
  • Production Number
  • Date and time of arrival in Munich
  • Airline and Flight Number
  • Number of Guests traveling
If you didn't make a reservation and get confirmation ahead of time, no one came to pick you up.
The email for the Canadian version goes to limousine@sixt.com, so I'm guessing it's a different program. I double confirmed with BMW Canada that it doesn't take me to the hotel.

Sixt will work with you. I contacted them to pick me up at my hotel to bring us to the Welt since we arrived a couple days before. I'm sure they would do the reverse.

I am thinking of staying in Rothenburg for 2 nights as well for my ED trip early October.

What hotel are you staying in?

We are staying at an Airbnb 15mins outside of town for Rothenburg because we found one that included a parking spot. The selection for hotels along the Romantic Road was very limited.

It was even heavier, we've cut it down some already haha.

I'm gonna more details to the post now that I've got the complete itinerary from the wife.

You should see some of the craziness we have for Japan, and we aren't even the craziest amongst our friends in terms of cramming a lot in a trip.

I don't have the itinerary on hand for Japan, but it looked something like this:

Land in the evening, check in, go find food, walked to some christmas display.
Day 1 wake up next morning at 4am to go to Tsukiji Fish Market, Meiji Shrine, go shopping after, go look at 2 different Christmas shows/displays
Day 2 Disneyland
Day 3 Something in the morning, Odaiba in the afternoon, more Christmas lights at night
Day 4 Michelin star restaurant breakfast, bullet train to Kyoto

There's lots more I forgot. We also went to Osaka, and flew to HK for a wedding, and flew to Shanghai to see relatives, all in the span of two and a half weeks.
(can you tell my wife really wanted to see Christmas lights/decorations/displays?)

I remember reading here about a car wash in Nice near the dropoff, but I couldn't find it anymore. Can anyone enlighten me as to where to go to wash my car?

As you're heading to the airport, keep going, it's just past it on the right.

Just as you enter the airport inner road, right off the loop, there is a gas station on your right, with a few pressure washing bays. Plop in a few coins and wash it there.

Ended up washing the car in Italy. The guys at TT had no problems with the car after I put another 150km on it after the wash. I drove the Col de Turini after the wash.

Car is on it's way home now. I'm still in Europe. Pics will come when I get back home and have time to organize things.
