Did BMW adjust M3/4 CO2 emission numbers for 2018 models?

Maybe I'm late to finding out about this, but I was looking for the ground clearance numbers when I saw this:

https://www.bmw.ch/fr/bmw-nouvelles-...ues.html#tab-0

The updated emissions of CO2 went up from 204 [194] g/km to 227 [213] g/km. It's the same on the German configurator

I wonder why that is... (steel shaft, particulate filter, number fudging before?)

FYI, here anything above 200 g/km would get a 50% penalty on the yearly tax that you pay. I was quite happy that the M4 was below that line.

Yup, it wasn't a true figure before being re-assessed as part of WLTP.

Same for MPG figures, went approx. 34 down to 30 for DCT
*Uk figures

Interesting ... I wonder if the CP & CS were also assessed.
I'd bet something that the figures are even higher than the base model.

CP definitely will have been as that's pretty high volume. Here in the UK/Europe I assume too, any car on sale must be officially rated on new WLTP standards from 1/9/2018. This is having some impact, for example a work colleague has a Golf R on order for 3 months, he still has no delivery date as I think VW (the industry bad guys booooo ) are struggling to either meet or obtain correct ratings for WLTP.

I'd assume for most manufacturers its a case of setting priority of your volume and ££ business. Thus VAG might have got all their main stream models ahead in the queue.

Tiny side note, I've had an F82 previously and actually achieved 29/30 MPG (UK based Gallons) thus if that's the official rating now....very impressive figures from BMW, well done. These WLTP figures for me (long Motorway commute at times) will be very accurate and achievable. #mindblown

I cannot confirm if it is related or not, but when I brought my M4cs for break-in service last Thursday, I was told there was a very minor recall on my car where they needed to change the emissions sticker.

If anything, I would be guessing the changes stated in the EU relate to the particulate filter. I remember reading that they had to slightly increase boost pressure to maintain the power rating with the GPF. If that is the case, this implies more fuel consumed and more CO2 emissions.

Seems reasonable.
I'm happy that I got my car last year though (given the drive shaft update, particulate filter and updated CO2 levels)

Ah yes, and don’t forget 6mt rev matching in sport+, Navi 3-click toggle for top view, and rear bumper crease too!
