M4 vs M4 vs M4
Hello everyone, new to the BMW scene and excited to get my first M-car soon!
Is there a major difference between the '15, '16, and '17 M4 convertible models? I know the '17 has Apple Carplay, which is a nice bonus but something I'm not too worried about because I can add it aftermarket. Looking at 3 deals, which one do you guys think is best? 2015 White exterior/black interior: 44k miles, $38k price 2016 Blue ext/brown int: 21k miles, $44k price 2017 Black ext/black int: 23k miles, $50k price, BMW certified Thanks! Looking forward to being a part of the community! |

That 2016 is in Massachusetts right? I almost bought it lol.
So the 2015 tends to have the most creaks & rattles. 2016 HK sound became standard, the climate control got a more updated font (makes the car look more modern than you’d think) and got a non carbon driveshaft idk if that makes a diff. Comp pack became an option here. 2017 adaptive suspension became standard. Personally, I’d buy the 2016 and buy a warranty aftermarket or thru Bmw. 6k for a 2017 and extra Year of warranty isn’t worth it. If the 2017 is a comp pack though, then I’d consider it. Tanzanite blue on cohiba brown (the M4 I saw In Mass I think you’re referring to) is a beautiful spec and is u unique so it might even hold value better bc of the individual interior & exterior. Tanzanite blue isn’t rare but much less common than the base colors. I probably would’ve bought that car if it didn’t have chrome rims, I wanted the black 437M’s but you can get them painted yourself although the OEM finish looks different. |

Thank you, very helpful advice. I did notice a lot of rattles in the 2015 I test drove. Especially from the dash, not so much from the roof as I’ve heard about in the past.
And no, the 2016 wasn’t in Massachusetts. Not going to post where it is though 😄 Does the competition package hurt ride quality at all? Love the idea of improved performance but not at the expense of an overly stiff or uncomfortable ride. |

I know for a fact that the F80 rides better than the F82 though, maybe thats why everyones confused; a F80 comp rides better than a f82 base (said numerous times). but a f82 comp will ride better than an f82 base? (idk) |
