Frankly, I have 0 intentions of touching the engine due to this potentially being my first new car with a warranty so I would like to see that. Make it $3k with the option to get 437M's and I would tick that box

There is more that can be done to the M3/M4 than just more Power!
Everybody is looking for that fix when if you actually consider it does not need that. I think just making it just a bit more sharper and focused would still herald the claim that it is unrivalled. The M4 GTS is one of a kind though.

It's a mix for me, the F80 rides harder, is noisier with a more raucous engine but there is this lack of mechanical feel with a more space age clinical and filtered feel of composites in the chassis and layers of tech between you and the source or target in the drive train and steering.

Interestingly, I find it is the other way around. In general, I find my M4 to be "more raw" than my E92 M3 was. With one exception though, I find the S55 to be more subdued in daily driving compared to the S65.

I think Scott26 is hinting that there won't be a power bump.

Agreed and if there is no power bump judging from the comments here about the wheels very, very few will tick ZCP but if there is a factory ( full warranty ) power bump I think very, very few can resist it. Power sell and BMW know it or there would not have been any reason as you say for the symbolic extra 15hp on the M5/M6.

Sure wish we knew a time frame for having the package in the system and being able to order it. Sometime 2016 doesn't really help
I have my CA after me to place my F80 order lol. I told him I am on hold until after the package is announced, but I'm starting to lean towards saying the hell with it and going without it. Of course I'll probably regret it afterwards Edit: I see that Scott said Spring in the other thread.. but that means potentially sometime between April and Jun to be able to order? Ugh.

completely agree. Would expect a bump to 450 or so.

If they could do something to improve traction they could make the car quite a bit quicker without adding power. Shaving a bit of weight, different tires, some suspension changes, etc... all could make a real difference.

Right ... I understand Scotts Post in the same way!
An nice addition for an CP would be non electric-seats with an nice CP-only Leather-Alcantara Combo ... or better an optional mild form of raceseats (like the CRT-seats) !? And make the CP cheaper and the 666M wheels therefor optional. |
