i feel bad for him.. totaled his car, made fun of across the internet.. i dont think it gets worse then that. People make mistakes everyone does. One less f80 on the road =/. He shouldnt have been trying to show off either way though.. there are always more expensive bigger and better cars no reason to drive like that.

I must have missed this one? I was around when the M4 hopped the curbed and the OP stated his tires were off by a few psi. But what's this water jug from?

guy had a new M4 and a hot GF that he would let drive his car

she hit something in the parking garage and blamed it on water spilling in the trunk, shorting the battery, and giving the car a mind of its own causing the accident.

That was a really bad angle to be drifting reminds me of the black c63 amg that hit a tree.

Better than the sound of hitting a pedestrian or an oncoming car though.

Well at least people were wearing their masks, little kids were there to learn a life lesson, and I think the guy in the tan shirt was calling Farmers insurance to see if “they covered that”.

Education isn’t free.
Or should I say, free education sucks.

Paying respects to that F80, that thing is certainly totalled.

I have my M1 license and I'm super wary of fall, simply for the fact that leaves will absolutely destroy traction.

Apparently it’s getting fixed. Maybe out of pocket, maybe they bought it back from insurance company, or maybe the ratio to total the vehicle didn’t trigger total loss. We shall see I guess.

Maybe they are fixing it, so he can try a right hand slide this time and even out the frame damage?!

I learned my lesson with leaves as a kid with a 300ZX, how I didn't total it that time I still don't get, bunch of spins after losing it mid turn but I didn't touch anything and drove back home to change my underwear.

He wasn't trying to drift, he did what the red M4 did in the old video, spun first, spun second and stayed in it when it snapped, it just so happened that there was a street there, might have actually saved him from worse damage. I guess everyone got lucky, it would suck to see some people just watching or commuting get hurt.

He didn't counter steer in the second slide. Look closely and his wheels are pointed straight at the tree.

Not a good way to get famous...

I bet his left rear tire was also 1.5PSI too much.

He got what he deserved. He claimed he was a very experienced driver with plenty of track time, the video clearly shows it wasn't the case.

I've driven many high hp rwd cars including vipers, porsches, corvettes, and formula cars and I've graduated from formula racing schools and have years of training in advanced car control and plenty of track time. Heck I remember day one of Formula school, half of the first day was spent on the skid pad learning how to keep a car from spinning if you lose traction.

No one is. But that was a very recoverable slow slide, someone with the experience level that he claimed he had should have easily caught it. And I don't consider everyone that "frequents the track" to be "experienced" either...
