I posted this in another thread, but this one is more relevant:

Look what showed up today!

I ordered from Costco on Sunday, it was shipped yesterday, and delivery was initially scheduled for Thursday. This morning I got a notification from UPS that everything was going to be delivered between 9:00 am - 1:00 pm today! UPS showed up at 10:00 AM, so less than 24 hours from shipping to delivery. Not too surprising because the QuickJack offices are only 176 miles away. Now to start assembly and setup!

Still on sale at Costco.com for $999.99 with free shipping until 2/28: https://www.costco.com/QuickJack-5%2...100460313.html

Damn now you can do those full wheels off AMMO NYC car details.
Or store your car on jacks for the winter so the wheels don't have to touch the ground like a peasants car would.

OP here, two years later, my pair of quickjacks are going strong. Did have 1 incident where the car got stuck in midair but that was probably user error in that I inadvertently tried to lower the car with only one jack connected with to the pump. Getting the car off was not pleasant!

I love my quickjack never had any complaints in the past 2 years.

alz0rz are you using any jack adapters or are you just using the rubbing blocks and lift at the jack point?

Very interested but have to make sure it clears the front lip as I drive over it. Plan to leave it under the car. My car is stock height with M perf front lip.

Quickjack does say that you aren't supposed to drive over the the jacks. Supposed to move it into position every time.

You misunderstood my post I was saying I'd like to store them under the car so everyday I would be parking over them (they would stay in the center). The tires would not go over them. Is that feasible or the front lip won't clear?

Ahh okay. I'll put one under my car front bumper tonight and take a picture with a measuring stick for you to decide.

I have a spot in the corner of the garage where I plan to stand up the QuickJack against the wall. But until I can get to Home Depot and see what kind of hardware I can find to secure them in place, I have one placed under my M4 which is lowered 0.5" but no front splitter and it clears with no problem.

What is the clearance from the ground to the bottom of your front splitter? Collapsed, the QJ is only 3". Here's all the specs: https://www.quickjack.com/quickjack-features.html

I have 5000SLX since December '18 and really like it.

Costco sells QJ outdated User Manual, where they prime QJ with no load (same on old youtube videos).

Never ever do it - always load the ramps, even for a first try (ask me how I know).

The latest manual is dated Dec 2018 and available here https://www.quickjack.com/downloads/...J-Dec-2018.pdf

Thanks. That will clear. The lip is a little over 5" off the ground. By the way, a lot of the reviews state that it always arrives with messed up parts and they had to get new ones from the manufacturer. After that it was trouble free.

One of the small air cylinders leaks [air] profusely (other holds): re-taped the nipple and changed the valve - still does. It doesn't matter much with the ramp loaded, it goes down under weight the same way

The packaging on mine was completely intact. Inside the rail boxes, each end of the rails have styrofoam "caps", upper and lower, for protection. The lower styrofoam caps were broken but there were no scratches on the rails. There's one handle in each box that are just loose inside the boxes and the instruction manual is loose in one of them. The complaints I've read is that the rail boxes arrive mangled with the handles and manual missing, which would easily happen if the cardboard is torn.

The squarish box has the pump, hoses, and all of the fittings. That box was also completely intact and all parts were present. Everything went together without a problem and no leaks!

Thanks. One last question. Do you use the car's rubber jacking points or the rubber pads from the quickjack? When you next lift the car, will be nice to see a picture of where the jack makes contact with the car.

Set mine up recently too

Put the pump and lines in a wheeled cabinet, and mounted racks on hooks on wall, so it's easier and quicker to setup - storing it smart is key imo

I'm using the qj blocks, lining up the jack pads that slot into oe points would take too long to line up on all 4 points

As domino_z mentioned above, I used it the first time without using my jack pad adapters and just positioned the large blocks in the trays to line up with the jacking points. It would be tricky trying to use the jack pad adapters at all four jacking points while raising unless I taped them into the jacking points.

I won't be raising the car again for at least three weeks if my wife goes to a women-only track event at the beginning of March, otherwise it will be end of March. But just picture the jack rails lining up with the rocker panels and the large blocks sitting in the trays lining up with the jacking points. When the QJ goes up, the blocks hit the jacking points first and raise up the car. Not much different than the arms of a post jack that you'd see at a tire shop, an independent mechanic, or at your dealer. There's also lots of videos on YouTube, just search "quickjack bmw", or take a look at the videos on the QuickJack channel on YouTube.

factory jacking points are strong enough to hold against QJ rubber blocks, so adapters just introduce more slide. QJ rubber blocks do slide a bit when car is raised, so you don't want those extra inches.

I have another QJ slotted rubber block set for the 635.

Yes, I've been using the QJ rubber blocks on the factory jack points and I must have raised the car dozens of times and no damage to plastic jack points. I damaged a few of those before for another reason and they are easy to pop out and replace at ~$12, I believe.
