VTT S55 GC 93 Octane Results!
We are very pleased to announce our S55 GC 93 octane results!
Working exclusively with Cary Jordan and using the Bootmod3 software from ProTuningFreaks we have surpassed all expectations and made 635WHP/691WTQ on 93 octane only (100% stock fuel system). The car holds 600WHP to 7200 RPM. Zero fueling upgrades. 2015 F80 M3: VTT S55 GC cast turbos VTT Silicone Charge Pipes Catless Downpipes VRSF midpipes Injen Intake Stock intercooler Stock fuel system (including lpfp). For those who don’t know -these are new cast units, no core charge, no price gouging. We are offering a couple interesting package discount options with GC purchase -add a Spline Lock or Cary Jordan tune (OTS or Custom). These will be in stock in approx. 4 weeks. Once in, they will be available for same day shipping. No long lead times; another one of the many reasons we call them game changers. On to the graphs! 635WHP/691 WTQ 30 psi / 8 degrees of timing at peak power. 10 degrees of timing at redline. Keep in mind we're intentionally slowing spool in these runs. The turbos spool very fast and come on so hard we feel its best to do so for engine longevity; but just to show you what we're talking about we have a graph from earlier in the 93 testing with spool not slowed. We also attached graphs on the way to these results -this was not a glory run. Cary said this is a perfectly streetable tune on 93... run it! E30 and E85 results coming up next! Needs a bigger turbine imo. Hate the power delivery, flat torque curve is much more preferred.
Make a single turbo bottom mount manifold with a Tial flange...I'd buy that. Would make it sound 100x better too.

A single turbo would be a fun project for some applications but that's an entirely different product/price range/end use. Last edited by Chris@VargasTurboTech; 02-17-2019 at 10:46 AM.. |

Edit: Tony actually did run the car on the Stage 2 OTS 91ACN tune. Cary most likely could squeeze some more out of it, but ACN91 is very tough to tune on safely. The graph is attached. Sorry for the confusion.

I can " make" 93 octane up here in Denver by blending 100 and 91, but what happens if I just run 91 ( which is the same as 93 at sea level) with this tune? If I get it installed at the dealership can I drive it home on the stock oem tune before I upload the BM3 tune? Can you describe what is needed for Cary to do a " custom" tune? I'm very interested in this.

Definitely talk with Cary about your particular situation at altitude, and if a custom tune makes sense for your application.
In general you can limp home from the dealership just fine without a specific tune but obviously avoid WOT until you're properly tuned. |

I've received a few questions about the S55 GC's and are they fully designed with our own drawings/etc. thought I'd simply and clearly answer that part publicly -yes, these are ground up new designs from our own drawings. Couple snap shots attached.

A few guys are asking about logs, as is common practice on the S55, the tuner has all logs. Feel free to email Cary Jordan for log requests. We spoke with him about this and he'll help you out if you're looking for something in particular. Thanks!

So much hate on VVT. I'm not going to get involved on that
But my question, Why did you guys asked Cary to tune your car when there are other trusted tuners world wide willing to help you with your product? I have nothing against Cary but I'm going to be honest, never heard of him until bm3 for F8X showed up. |

I pre-ordered the turbos back on Black Friday. With these results on 93, can't wait to see the results on Ethanol...and get my GCs! |
