Dealerships who will replace silver seat emblems with black ? - Central NJ

Like many of you my car came with the silver seat badges which crack over time. My warranty snuck up on me and is ending at the end of the month and would like to get them replaced with Black ones if possible. Does anyone know of any dealerships in NJ or PA preferably within a hour of Princeton that have replaced the Silver seat emblems for black ? My last oil change was at Princeton BMW and the SA said they can only be replaced with Silver.

Also curious to see if there are any other F8Xers in the Princeton Area!

jsandor91 - Suggest you talk to Kies who are in Hammonton. This however isn't covered by warranty.

Can’t expect it done for free. Tip your service advisor BEFORE you drop the car off and you’ll be amazed at how much they will work with you.

Don’t understand this tip ur SA. It’s their job to do the best they can for customers. Doesn’t the dealership get money from bmw for doing these jobs. Thought they would love to do it without being tipped.

I recently had it done at Bridgewater BMW.

They will replace under warranty if they are cracked. After their experience with me, they should now know they can swap out with the black ones.

The problem is they are doing you a favor by swapping the black ones, which are obviously a newer version and a bit more expensive. So from their perspective why should they do you this favor if there's nothing in it for them.

IF you are entitled to replacing the emblems under warranty, e.g., if they are cracked, BMW now authorizes replacement of the silver emblem for the black emblem.

You just need a dealership willing to call BMW.

I asked Bridgewater to call BMW and BMW quickly authorized.

I only take my car to Circle BMW in Eatontown, it's about an hour from me, but it's a nice ride and great knowledgable staff and treat with respect and not just a revenue generator.

I have bridgewater, Edison & Princeton near me, but no thanks from the horror stories Ive heard. Also Circle BMW was rated highest in NJ by google & recommended by Poiseuille as well.

Circle is where I go. The service manager there knows his shit and is stand up guy

I was still under warranty, with cracked/delaminated silver ones, and BMW of Mt. Laurel gave me the black ones without a hassle.

Thank you to all who replied! I ended up going to Bridgewater BMW on Friday since they could get me in quickly. I got a call this morning that my black emblems are on the way!
