Contemplating upgrading

Hi all! I may trade in my zcp 2013 e92 m3 today for a 2016 f80.

I just wanted to see what long term ownership is like with these cars. Have you all been enjoying it!

Night and day difference from the e92 (torqueless wonder), bought my M4 back in 15 has 43k on the clock, still a great car and I'll most likely keep in in the garage but a 992 Turbo S is in my near future.

With that said, definitely do the upgrade.

ALOT has been written regarding how these two compare.

In short.....For 2 years I owned a 2013 e92 zcp m3 and loved it but lack of torque is what ultimately drove me away from it. I now own a F82 and couldn't be happier...so far.

They’re awesome cars in nearly every way, you can’t lose.

The only thing (imo) you'll miss is noise. Assuming you've modded exhaust on the e. Perhaps steering feel as well and looks are subjective. Everything else, the newer gen is better. I did the same leveling up as you e92-f80. Do it

I decided not to do it in the last minute because the car was lacking some basic options. Back up cam, pdc, HUD.

BUT! I do plan on going in the F80 path as soon as i find the right optioned out one.

Definitely an upgrade, the V8 sound is amazing but the new equal length exhausts on F8X's have it sounding like a real I-6Turbo (1J/2JZ/B58).

Must have options are premium pack, carbon roof, LED headlights, and full leather is great if your lucky to find it.

I went E92-F80. Best decision I have made in a long time. The only thing I ever miss the v8 screaming at 8500k. F80 wins in everything but sound
