The "GTS" engine coding is more of a engine flash labeled/repackaged as gts, but it is not the same map as is on the M4 GTS. same with the other dct/suspension flashes.
Lol what...

Haha, apologies - I am new to the concept of flashing/coding and wanted to confirm for my understanding as well.. I was referring to the gts flash from alpine which makes things confusing as it is called gts, but not the actual oem gts map. Should’ve specified oem map vs alpine flash

Should’ve read like this:

Also considered it for my 2015 but like the extra low end torque. There’s a dyno sheet floating around comparing the before and after. No going back once it’s done.

May 2021 - asked dealer here in Brisbane if they would update - the initial answer was ‘no as it can lead to ECU failure’ - I’m going back for conversation #2 !

Refreshing this thread. Just got my non-competition 2016 F80 fully updated from the original untouched I Level of 15-07 to 21-11 after getting the 4G TCU update. I've driven the Comp, CS, and even GTS version of all F80/82's. The update fixes everything wrong with the early models. The steering and suspension is much improved. Steering felt much sharper and the suspension doesn't feel like it's all over the place anymore. It feels more like the competition version. I do have the KW HAS kit with factory EDC. Power wise I was VF CS tuned so i'm down to factory power again but shifts feel smoother and power delivery feels much nicer from when I was stock. Plus the iDrive is quicker and smoother. I've got to redo my coding but overall the update was so worth it. I'd recommend it. I'm going to stay on factory power until the spring. Going the Carbahn route and I'm excited that to see how it all comes together with this new update.
