If it's in the tread part it should be able to be fixed. Best fix would be a plug and then a patch inside.

Why are you asking permission to do something to your car? Do whatever makes you happy. If you like it, who cares if others chuckle at it etc.

Would you add a custom "Package" emblem below it as well?

Assuming the new G series M3s come with the new badging...if I had to replace my CP F80 badge for some reason then I would, because why not? But just to change for the sake of change I would probably not bother, kind of looking at it as not filling a purpose. But if you are really liking the new badge then you should do what pleases you. If you look over in the picture section, some here have done way much worse than just a badge swap.

So no worries!

Just to clarify, are you talking about putting a CS badge on a non-CS M3? If so, that would be in poor taste, just like putting a ///M badge on a 328i, only in this case it would be even worse, IMHO, because it says that you can't pony up the ~$130K for a CS model but think that by doing this it will pass for one. Besides, most people wouldn't notice or care, but those that would notice would know that you're being an impostor and would judge you accordingly.

Of course, it's your car and you could wrap it to look like a rainbow unicorn if you wanted, but while that may appeal to 5 year old girls, most people probably wouldn't find it in good taste.

That said, I installed gloss black front grilles, gloss black side gills, and a gloss black rear M4 emblem on my 2016 M4, not so it would look like a ZCP, which was actually just announced the month I ordered my car, but because that was the look I was going for and it's been done for years on previous M3 models. Plus, it's my car and I don't care what other people think.

He has an ‘18 M3 CP, so I’m assuming it’s the badge found on the new M2CP that says competition under the M2. Otherwise CS would be in bad taste in my point of view.

Def NOT CS badge. Just the comp badge from the m2c. I appreciate the opinions. Don't want this to escalate. Thanks guys!

That is good news, something for everybody!

I do like how the OP in your link talks about BMW “forcing” people into cars etc.

I’ve never been “forced” into any car I really didn’t want.

I got the competition package on mine because I liked the exhaust and wasn't planning on going aftermarket. But now with the new gasoline particle filters it sounds awful so I wouldn't have spent the money in the competition package since I have to go aftermarket to make it sound decent.

Upgrade from existing standard M4.. No. Not worth it (I should have bought out my lease). Totally new car.. Yes, because why not.

As much as I worried about ride quality and the 20's, I think my F80 is softer than my E90. Both bone stock ZCP. Each has its strengths but I always find myself going 10 or 20mph faster than I expect in the F80. Also several seconds faster at COTA, but 5+ years of experience at the track might have stacked the deck in favor of the new car. Better take the old car to another track day to make sure

We apparently then need to form some governing body to make yes/no determinations. We shall elect such a body from our BP peers etc....
