Hmmm, another underwhelming photo of the F82 again in contrast to the earlier MW F80. I can see the skepticism on whether to pull the trigger on a car that doesn't quite have the visual package to match road performance.
As stated earlier, M cars are about pure driving performance. Yet at the same time, the wrapping should compliment the performance not undermine it. I will wait to see both cars live and drive them. On just the photos alone, the M3 communicates the performance package much better than the M4. Agree with the earlier comment, looks like an F32. |

I'm still impartial to the front end and even the shot from the side when looking at the front looks awkward but I think it does look good from all other angles and based on these pictures I think I may be able to warm up to it one day.
I still haven't seen anything from a competitor that gives the same entire package as the M3/4 and looks as good so when the time comes I know Ill be getting into one. |

But wanting to say something important. What about brown colors that are gaining popularity in Germany? Via-KBA Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt specifically according to BMW: Sales per month November 2013.* 1*Black 2*Grey 3*White 4*Blue 5*Brown 6*Red I thought I would have more success browns in U.S. than in Europe. You could bet that Germany is the European country where cars are sold more brown than in any other European region. True or false? Together with BMW, Audi and VW sold their cars there nicely brown. Which of these colors again ? i Havanna or Sparkling Bronze or Marrakesch Brown? Titanium Silver or Glacier Silver or Space Grey? Imperial Blue or Deep Sea Blue or Midnight Blue? About two or three years ago when BMW was offering that Marrakesh Brown on the e81 two door hatch and the X1. But you hardly ever see those colors. I think they were only a flash fad. Go look at the rental car fleets of SIXT, Europecar, AVIS, ect... you will see what sells by the way they order their rental fleet sales.

You did not notice that Werkstestwagen had Munich plates? You might be better heading for Garching or the FIZ.

And the sound.... is just mean - even with the windows rolled up and following far behind - the exhaust growl is mean.

Is the interior really nicer? I'm just asking since I've not been in it. Does it feel like higher quality materials and is more logical and beautiful than a full leather appointed BMW? I really hope the answer is yes since it's about time.

So really, the cars seem to be getting more similar......just saying. They are not the same, but you can see why some will think there is not enough separation to justify the premium. Cheers, e46e92

Just out of curiosity, where are you getting the 80% figure from? I didn't see an 80% difference between an E90 ///M and non-///M or E92 ///M and non-///M respectively. |
