GrussGott Do you remember the website you posted a while back for the masks?
I keep forgetting it. I will bookmark it this time.

It's like déjà vu, all over again.
BioNTech says it will know vaccine's effectiveness against new variant in two weeks - https://thehill.com/policy/healthcar...-effectiveness |

Just like I vaccinated my kids against measles, mumps, rubella and chicken pox and i vaccinated my dog against rabies. Vaccines save lives, both of those who would otherwise get the disease (or get much sicker from it) and stops the unvaxxed from overwhelming the health care system. I have a good friend who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in late August. His surgery to remove the tumor was delayed because local ICU's were full of the unvaxxed with COVID. Those people can rot in hell, far as I'm concerned.

If anyone is wondering what to get me for Christmas, I would love this!
https://gizmodo.com/what-could-be-co...ged-1848148657 A keyboard from a minuteman three lunch silo. That would be cool to be able to use that, and watch "wargames" at the same time. |

https://www.newsweek.com/covid-cases...states-1655358 "Experts have been warning about a winter surge in COVID-19 cases and an early increase in case numbers indicate the next wave could even impact states with high vaccination rates. Michigan, New Hampshire and Minnesota are leading the United States in most COVID-19 cases per 100,000 over the past seven days. Both Minnesota and New Hampshire have fully vaccinated more than 70 percent of their adult residents, and Maine, where more than 80 percent of adults are fully vaccinated, is starting to see a concerning rise in cases." mRNA gene therapy bros.... I don't feel so good. Did we get too cocky? |

So the quarantine time was strange: "Mom are you really old enough to have watched new movies with Bruce Willis while he still had hair ?" "Mom, I'm seriously trying to explain this at the seventh grade level, how can you cook if you understand no chemistry at all?" "Mom. I have to apologise to you cuz dad told me to do so. While the subject is easy for me, I shouldn't assume I can explain 7th grade physics and chemistry to a 39 year old. I'm going to stick to lessons I've been provided and today we are learning 5th grade history! This is so cool Mom, I studied a ton cuz you're a history fan and now I can tell you all about it at 5 am while you're trying to drink coffee (k, the last sentence may have not been a direct quote)". So basically... I have kept my strong pacifist stance, but I admit the quarantine was not pleasant. The vaccine for the young was approved here last week for those with health issues and for those with close contact with people with health issues. While we have two cancer patients in the close family, and I seriously wanted to get my boys shot (not a typo necessarily), thankfully I remembered that we can keep our distance a bit longer and scheduled them for the Christmas rush, which will give us all more time away from my mom too. Also, there are truly sicker kids and with sicker family members who need it more urgently. But I'm really fucking angry still guys. Our covid numbers are shooting up, and since the elderly have been vaccinated, and while we adults wear masks, I keep thinking that the worst I had to endure while fully vaccinated was a kid with one ear, once again postponed surgery and him asking me again and again if he was the one who brought it to their school, and is he responsible for his classmate losing a grandpa. Well, as I told him then, we've done our best and we will continue with the effort, and get him the shot too, his younger brother will get one earlier since he was negative all the way through our quarantine. "Well Mom, did I kill him?" No, honey, you've done exactly what you've been told to do. At this point this is us adults just fucking up everything.

As a family we had a serious case of relief after they both got their 2 shots. In my email I explained why the other girl didn't get hers until 2 weeks from now and that story will be shared here too after I've had a night of sleep without nightmares. Aaanyway. They approved the shot here in finland last week for the 5-12 year olds. Our boys will get theirs ASAP too.

Also I commented on one of the G8X fender redesigns and stirred up the usual outrage….

Went okay, next day had to take Advil to counteract the affects but managed to drive my car home from the dealership so, I call that a win.

Check this out GrussGott, I don’t get why they waited so long. Lakes didn’t really freeze until December. Can you imagine the cost of the recovery operation?
