Roll cage padding part number
I see that some of the GTS came with padding installed on portions of the roll cage. Does anyone have the part number for the padding?
Found it: 51-61-8-068-163 Last edited by bayarea328xit; 02-07-2021 at 11:38 AM.. Reason: added part no |

Was likely mistakenly removed by a dealership or by a previous owner. To pass DOT regulations, the front side of the roll cage was required to be padded (since there is a chance, however slight, that an occupant's head could hit the roll cage in a collision).
This is also why Porsche does not allow clubsport equipped GT cars in the USA. Too much perceived legal risk at PCNA. |

I wonder if the dealership failed to install them before delivery - strange! |

Yep - interesting. I do remember seeing a lot of them at dealerships without the padding - that is why I didn't make much of it when I did not see it on mine.
