I am not a huge fan of the reflectors, but LED sidemarkers are so subtle. Plus, there have been multiple studies that say drivers response time is better in seeing vehicle.

That's what the drl is for

Since the sidemarker illuminates only with headlight main beam on, I can't see how an orange side marker makes the car more noticeable at night than having headlights on lol

There have been studies on it. I cannot seem to find post at the moment.

Also illegal to run without side markers in the US. You’d risk failing inspection or getting a ticket.

We don't have those laws here in aus, we also don't have the bumper reflectors

I highly doubt that is something that you'd get pulled over for, let alone ticketed.

Is there a cheat guide for this app? Not trying to read german lettering and numbers and guess what they correspond to. I have the software for a laptop but my macbook is acting up and will not boot bootcamp so just might have to pay for this app if its idiotproof and has the same offerings as the laptop software.

Hello

Bumping an old thread. I tried to disable sidemarkers on 19 M4 CS.

Although I saw the option in bummercode and it was already noted for, they did not turn off. I tried both turning off sidemarker and even turning off in brightness.

Any ideas what's going on?

In 19 you need to disable in FLE modules.

What is exactly next by "19"

I was told by a remote coder mine could not be disabled. Early build MY 07/14 full LED but some software files had been updated by previous owner. Per this I was told they could not be coded out......

HAs there been a change? I have the bimmercode app

Your remote coder apparently has some lack of knowledge. They could be disabled easily in FLE modules.

I don't think the same option (screenshot from initial post) is available for the Adaptive LED headlights. I played around w/it yesterday & couldn't get them to completely turn off.

To Code with BimmerCode app (in Expert Mode).

For older F80's with TMS Modules (Left & Right)

TMS_03 (Driver Headlight Module left):
>Section 3005
-Standlicht Modus 1
-Standlicht Modus 2
-Welcome Light 1 (if you want the 3 LEDs off when unlocking).

TMS_03 (Driver Headlight Module right):
>Section 3005
-Standlicht Modus 1
-Standlicht Modus 2
-Welcome Light 1 (if you want the 3 LEDs off when unlocking).

Stock (On) Amber LEDs:
00, 03, 00, 00, 64, 03, 00, 00, 64, 03, 00, 00, 2B, 04, 00, 00

change the Werte Value from 64 to 00 as follows:

Coded (Off) Amber LEDs:
00, 03, 00, 00, 00, 03, 00, 00, 64, 03, 00, 00, 2B, 04, 00, 00

Make this same change to all sections mentioned above (Standlicht Modus 1, Standlicht Modus 2, and Welcome Light 1)

For newer F80's with FLE instead of TMS, then use these steps instead:

Front Light Electronics (FLE) Left
- Navigate to Front Light Electronics Left
- Click on Expert mode
- Click on 3006 LED1
- Click on LM_ID_LT4
- Change to 02_VALUE / 0x00
- Go back to the 3006 LED1 page
- Click on LM04_NAME
- Change to 02_VALUE / 0x00
- Back on 3006 LED1 page and click code

Check & verify if value changes worked for the Left headlight. If no-go, revert back. If good, then proceed with the Front Light Electronics Right control unit.

Front Light Electronics (FLE) Right
- Navigate to Front Light Electronics Right
- Click on Expert mode
- Click on 3006 LED1
- Click on LM_ID_LT4
- Change to 02_VALUE / 0x00
- Go back to the 3006 LED1 page
- Click on LM04_NAME
- Change to 02_VALUE / 0x00
- Back on 3006 LED1 page and click code

Did you see my post #14? Have you verified the comparable software versions that it will work with? Just curious
