Best exhaust for turbo sound

So I know this is obviously a little odd but I am just looking to see if any of you guys have found a very good solution for hearing the turbo spool. I feel like I've been looking through countless YouTube videos, but haven't found something I really like yet. I just want to hear the spool at low rpm and low revs. I've been looking at MPE, Akra or using the OEM ZCP muffler with either the AA midpipe and catless DP, or just catless DP with the full MPE and Akra evo. Sorry for the rant! Thanks in advance folks!

Any of those exhausts will marginally enhance any turbo sounds. I would recommend an intake in addition to an exhaust if that's what you're looking for.

Any single mid pipe with downpipe will definitely increase the turbo noises I had MPE with active mid and akra dp, first and second gear.... Insane spools. Especially in enclosed spaces like parking structures or between city buildings.

Thank you Justin! How was the drone with that setup? I am inclined to try that first as I already have the AA midpipe. Have you ever noticed a difference in sound between catless downpipes?

I just installed last night VRSF catless downpipes and AA mid to a stock non-zcp muffler. Car is on the stock intakes and charge pipes. First thing I heard was the turbo spooling up and down, before any pops gurgles whatever, spool. Pretty cool, didnt hear anything before on the stock car. Wasn't even expecting it really, I thought turbo spool was more pronounced from the intake, but I'm not complaining, sounds wicked!

That's awesome!! How is the drone with it in efficient ? I just don't want to have it drive me crazy.

Not really sure yet, was raining all day and night so didn't really get a chance to fully test it. So far I'm loving it.

SSR intakes sound great on my M3. You get a big woosh between shifts. Best sound I've heard for turbos, personally.

All front mount intakes sounds the same, it's just the filter making the noise difference. The mesh filters are the loudest.

Responding to your comment regarding efficient mode as well, but in efficient as long as you have OEM Valve Operation Active then you're perfectly OK. 0 Drone.

If you have BM3 and have Sport/Sport + mode set to valves always open, then there is a good amount of drone. Sensitivity to drone varies by person, but for me it wasn't a big enough deal for me to complain or think twice.

Downpipes add a significant amount of rasp and volume, however with the single mid pipe design, the rasp is cut down to a minimal

Maybe you want a blow off valve? Or an exhaust whistle?

My favorite exhaust is Active Autowerke midpipe + REMUS axle back

From what you are describing, its sounds like you need to get a front mount intake
