Gixxer's M4 F83 ZCP GTS/CS inspired build

Hi Guys,
I am a longtime BMW enthusiast with a few past and present M cars that I have enjoyed the pleasure of owning. Most recently, I have migrated over here from the X5 forums where I have an extensive thread about my current e70 X5M hotrod project. We have been considering an M4 for a few years and we finally pulled the trigger on a 2017 Competition Package (I told my wife that it was her car, so she gets to make some decisions about how it should look as we begin customizing it to our taste). To be quite honest, I didn't know much about the competition package except for the controversial 20" wheels, but we liked the color combo and thought it was a cool addition. As I learn more about the competition package, I feel like I made the right choice.

I am leaning heavily towards accomplishing Dinan upgrades with their tune specifically engineered for the ZCP with intakes and upgraded intercooler... I have been told by a fellow ZCP owner friend that he is making nearly 600rwhp with his Dinan equipped M3 sedan.
Please chime in if there is a better, more cost effective performance solution for this car (JB4, Active-8, etc, etc...)

Look at this undercarriage! What a beautiful work of ART!!!




First mod is the installation of H&R springs to bring the ride height down a bit and give it a better stance;





I am expecting new carbon fiber bits to arrive any day; M Front spoiler, M side skirts and diffuser.

I have also ordered a new set of Signature Wheels custom 2-piece 20x9.5 and 20x11 wheels.

here's a sample of the OEM ZCP exhaust note in normal mode then in sport mode. I love the pops and crackles it makes....
Pretty awesome for a factory exhaust!

I may opt do a midpipe for a deeper tone and slightly more volume, but it is nearly perfect now IMO.

Congrats!!! Those rims are fantastic but can't say I like the look of the 22" on the rears, just too big.

Those will be 20's on the M4 instead (fixed)
(I'm so used to talking about 22's on the X5M...)

I love it! I, too, have a F83 M4 ZCP Convertible. u must get the RKP CF rear spoiler to complete the look of the 'vert. here's a pic for u to see

ur 'vert is going to look killer with them wheels

since u like the Brembo yellow calipers on my ride, I would recommend u hey yours painted same color before u put on ur wheels. trust me, those calipers r going to pop behind the dark wheels u got. do it and u will be forever grateful to me after it's done :

Yellow calipers are awesome and I totally agree with you, but my wife saw some red anodized wheels at Bimmerfest a few years ago, flipped out over them and still talks about how cool they were. I thought they were a little much, but to appease her, I have somewhat agreed to do Brushed Black Faces, Brushed Black lips and Anodized Red Barrels with Gloss Black hardware. (She thinks the red will accent the red interior - IDK - something about matching shoes and belts)

Not sure what to do with Calipers at this point as I don't want too many colors going on....

The decision has been made to forgo the red barrels and to simply have the entire wheel finished in Brushed Black. I actually liked the red, but it felt a little too flashy to me.

I agree. Since u like red, red calipers would look killer behind them dark wheels

That would look really good, but if I were going to the trouble to change the look of the calipers, I would go with the OEM Gold color that's on the Carbon Ceramic Calipers

I think I'm going to do an Active-8 tune and their midpipes on the M4... not sure about intakes or any other performance mod just yet. I already have Active Autowerkes tune and downpipes on my X5M, so I have good a relationship with them.

a little update... I've been focusing on my X5M Pure Turbo build lately, but I did get the Signature wheels on and added the rear spoiler like JLT's car. I also added the front carbon lip, rear diffuser and side skirts!!! I'm very pleased with how the car has turned out so far...







...and this is getting put on next week!

now that's what I'm talking about ur ride looks sick now. stance and wheels r bonkers. (need to get rid of those front orange reflectors).

what happened to the red calipers? it would even take your awesome M4 to another level

Love those signature wheels! Not feeling the colour, but I love them because they're not the typical 5 spoke design.
