Mod regrets?

Alright forum friends, what mod(s) have you done on your F8X that you regret doing? Interested to hear some thoughts on this, and to help fellow forum members with potential mods to skip. TIA

do not buy replicas : splitters , lip , mirrors etc (buy oem or from a well known company) they dont fit well and you'll need to buy again same stuff.

Do not combine downpipe catless with midpipe catless ... it will sound like shit . loud but not good .

Watch out where your install your mods , i am from Europe and i do not know many good mechanics , thats why sometime i go to BMW .

Mods ? you will not gain money when reselling your car but it's your choice . i got everything m performance interior/exterior and other stuff

I would regret doing any mod that makes me change how I drive the car normally on the street. I.E. I don't want to have to think about the mod while I am driving because of reduced ground clearance etc.

If you're gonna do front lip dont lower it with springs get something adjustable.

Now that I've got a stage 2 tune, I dont really hear my intake anymore. So if you're going that route go with the drop in filter.

I would agree with the drop in filter over an intake, which is basically just eye candy, and to some extent, ear candy, depending on the intake. I would also agree that it would be a bummer to get an expensive front lip and lowering springs, only to trash the lip on every bump and driveway. Much to my pleasant surprise, I have the MP front lip and MS Comp springs, and I have yet to scrape anywhere after two weeks of driving in LA. However, I am more careful on dips and driveways that look severe enough to present a risk. But that little bit of extra care has been worth it in my view, because I love the stance and the lip.

Vorsteiner flow formed wheels. Found out a couple of them were slightly bent and I'm careful.

YES! You are so right!!!

one of my regrets is overslapping carbon fiber pieces on the car.
When I first got it I installed the trunk spoiler, upper splitters, lower splitters, lip, side blades and diffuser.
I have since painted my trunk spoiler to match the color and removed the uppoer and lower front splitters. I also replaced the front lip with a Lightweight lip and the car finally looks classy again

If you're gonna mod...do it sooner rather than later. More value modding today than tomorrow. Theta decay (value lost to time) is real.

Funny you say that, I just picked up my M4 a few weeks ago and coded out ASD through my dealer but am going to code it back in this evening as I am not sure I like it off.

Yup I stay away from any carbon fiber ground effects if you use your ride as a daily driver I'd hit everything and its mother.

I haven't regretted it because I haven't done it, but I know I would once I did:

Coil overs + Front lip

I'm already rubbing the bumper and side skirts on driveways and speed bumps. I don't know how some of you guys do it. I don't like to feel nervous at the sight of a slight dip in the road.

Use rubber front lip that's cheap to replace
