Is it Saturday yet??? So excited.

So MKSixer is nowhere to be found. I do hope he is okay. If he is, it's unbelievable he has completely shunned this forum.

Former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher has said the pressure is all on Hamilton being 8 points behind Max and even with his 'rocket' PU which is now one race old being boosted to maximum strain Max has the psychological edge over him.

Rosberg said the opposite, he said when you're ahead and expected to win the championship the pressure is immense to the point where you cannot even put together laps to get pole position anymore because the pressure was so great. He said being the under dog and behind in the standings the pressure is relieved because you're not expected to win so you have nothing to lose, and thus all the pressure is gone.

Personally I would take Rosberg's opinion because he actually won a title, and it actually went down to the wire exactly like Lewis's and max's championship battle. So the experience Rosberg had would be most applicable to this situation.

12:28 mark.

Rosberg turned down Ł72M offer to return to Merc and lets face it is always going to stay in favour with them as his comments confirm.

He didn't want to leave the sport not on top, and just washed up as per his statements.

He is not really in favour with mercedes, he has talked bad about them alot this season saying RB was the significantly faster car all season, and Lewis has not been consistent enough making small mistakes when we have never seen him do that before. He called out alot of mercede's mistakes too especially the poor strategy calls and poor pit stops.

Also recently he has been using the RB16B (just like in this video) in his track guide simulations/analysis videos, so clearly he isn't sucking up to merc.

I must admit I haven't watched it yet so will do so over lunch but in any case I'll stick with Schumacher's opinion anyway as Rosberg knows little about MV and fails to understand that he thrives on pressure unlike Hamilton.

Yeah it's a decent watch, I generally like Rosberg's videos especially his car reviews/tours.

IDK I would think Rosberg knows the mentality of a driver in this situation better than Ralf, especially since he has never been here before and he also isn't max and thus is only able to speculate what goes on in max's mind. it is true max has never messed up this year and is insanely consistent, but pressure affects everyone some are just able to deal with it better than others but regardless pressure will inhibit your absolute best performance because your mind cannot focus fully on the task at hand. The difference is some people can deal with it so well it doesn't drop off their peak to the point where they make mistakes, however their peak will be reduced. That's why all pro athletes have sports psychologists now to help them, alot of fighters use them since the pressure of a fight is uncomparable, as a single mistake means getting finished.

I watched the vid and the first thing that's obvious is that NR is a completely different character to MV in fact he comes over to me as quite excitable and quick talking so really can see things only from his time with Hamilton.
In the meantime the 'happy time' for LH has turned sour with him resorting to some dirty tricks against Max aptly demonstrated at Silverstone, indeed I'm sure you have read up on Ham's teammate Bottas nearly having a breakdown from having to work with Hamilton and being pressured by Wolff demonstrated by him taking out Norris,Checo and severely damaging Max's car by a simple error.
Max on the other hand is cool and collective dealing with the matter at hand and as has been said ''Max was born on the track'' is the key to him thriving on pressure.

In an interview with a well known newspaper Horner has said that Hill has shown no examples that would show impartiality towards Max,this is especially prevalent in the last two years.

Walls ....Walls and more walls ! And shaving the endless concrete walls to be fast !
If there's a crash at this track ,I really wonder how they can remove or hoist the crashed cars from this track ?!?!
I expect to see the safety car a lot ! And a disaster as well...

Honestly , this track looks like a (deadly) trap ...And I fear the worst for the drivers safety !

It just needs one to go into the wall and be rebounded back and the rest will follow with nowhere to go!
