640M RIM + Track tires = ?
Just ordered my 18" winter tire set from my dealer and thinking if I can put the track tires (like AD08R) on it when summer comes? So I don't need to spend money on another set of wheels. If 18" is not a good choice (i.e. front 8.5 is too small), maybe I can ask the dealer to order 19" instead if it makes more sense to work with summer tires. Please kindly share your thoughts and opinion, much appreciate it. Thanks.

From tirerack's website, I found the 640M might fit in AD08R's width lower limit.
Just need to see if this size set up works or not. Any suggestion is deeply appreciated. AD08R Front: 255-40-18 (Required Rim Width Range: 8.5 - 10") Rear: 265-40-18 (Required Rim Width Range: 9 - 10.5") |

I actually preffer 18" wheels for the track. The problem with the 640M (and the 19" 641M for that matter) is the widths of the wheels which will prevent the use of tires of sufficient width. IMO, 9.5"~10" min widths are needed for the track on this car.
