Yeah, the only way to get the gold calipers is if you buy them separately. There is no kit out there besides the CCB retrofit, which includes the gold calipers.

I have the Gold CCB Calipers paired with Girodisc rotors. Might consider selling my setup as I have something else in mind.

jtskariah

I found what you're looking for! A kit consisting of Gold CCB Calipers with M2C iron rotors, pads, backing plate/ heat shields, brake sensors, etc. A complete plug and play kit just like the red caliper kit. PM me for info and price.

In Germany i know a company that you can choose the calipers with the iron rotors.
Grey, red or gold calipers

2NH Brake pads

Yes!! I would really appreciate that.

These pads will work on the Gold CCB, the Silver M2C, and the Red M Performance 6/4 pot brake calipers.

The characteristics are low dust and low noise (not no noise) and they work very well under higher temperature and beginner to intermediate track use and are streetable as well. I personally run them on the street and another friend of my friends runs them on the track on his M2C and he is very quick and absolutely loves the pads.

My friend mostly private labels for a lot of other companies and works in the Motorsport market but made a few sets of these pads for me as a special request.

Compound - SP2
Material - Semi metallic
Temp range - 25 to 600 C
Thickness: 20 mm front, 18 mm rear (same as OEM thickness)

If anyone is interested in a set of pads for the front, rear or a complete set, please PM me and I can get you in touch with him.

Here's some pics of my setup and car. Sorry, don't have any close ups of the rear brakes/pads.

Pagid has pads for their RSL29 compound, and Cobalt Friction just came out with support with all their compounds (email them directly since they don't have it in their site just yet).

I've used the RSL29 and don't like them. It feels like you have a piece of wood instead of a brake pad! They do wear like iron though

EBC RP-X is the race pad you need my friends.

EBC also has a sintered pad coming out very soon. Should be even better than the RP-X which is already insane good on track. The sintered pad combo is the SR-22 for front and SR-11 for rear. Apparently ultra ultra low wear from the sintered pads.

Following this line of thinking .... replace everything you can with Carbon because it is lighter, replace the exhaust with titanium because it is lighter, build upholstery from the inside because it will be lighter ... as I wrote above, if someone builds a car for the track, it has it sense for normal driving there is no such need

I just put on the M Performance titanium exhaust, but not because of the weight that it is lighter ... I meant sound and appearance ...

Can someone who used both share the experiences?

Thanks
Yes, i have used all three versions. Stock blue brakes first, then i went CCB calipers with big steel discs, didn't like that at all so i bought the ceramic discs instead and got rid of 18 kg (40 pounds) compared to the steel discs. Weight is crazy at 13,8 kg each (30 pounds) for the big front steel discs. The car did not behave well with that setup.
So now i have lightened my car 26 kg's (57 pounds) on unsprung weight with the carbon/billet wheels. I have removed over 19 pounds, PER FRONT WHEEL, and that is very noticeable.
The car is great now .

just check the reply above before being a fanboi.

what we need is data not assumptions.

same goes for taking too much random weight from the car.

I know perfectly well how much it weighs, I'm not stupid, I weighed the brakes during assembly, I don't want to have this discussion with you anymore because I don't lead anywhere ... do what you want, I don't impose anything on anyone, everyone does what they want, everything to me fits ... have a nice day

mate i just said 666m + gold calipers + big steel discs are just too heavy vs what you can get at a better price and much lighter. if you check the above reply he says it is very noticeable. why you get mad?

I’m looking into these for my car, but wow is that weight a concern. These things are like boat anchors in the front. I can’t imagine that much more rotational mass isn’t felt while driving.

There is not. This kit is only available in red. You could possibly put together a gold kit with individual parts.

Gold caliper install on non CCB brakes

Hi all,

So I have been collecting parts for this mod and want to make sure I purchased the right materials. I have the standard blue brakes on my M4 (non CCB) and I will be installing the gold M calipers front and rear. I have purchased the exact list below so far but I am concerned this is for converting CCB to M2C iron rotors and not for converting non-CCB brakes to bigger calipers and M2C iron rotors.

Also I do not see the rear dust shields listed in this list. Do you guys know the exact part numbers?

Are the wear sensors the correct part number and do I only need 1 ventilation cap and dust cap for the rear (the front lists 2).

Lastly what brake pads are you guys running for this setup? I was reading people purchasing the Endless ME22 pads but what is the OEM option? Do you guys have a link for the endless pads if you think its a good buy?

Thanks for the help! Let me know if I need to return any of this or add anything on!

Front:

Was able to answer my own question for most of the parts listed above. Just need some recommendations on some brake pads for the iron rotor setup. Any suggestions and links? A few were mentioned here but I want to make sure I purchase the right one!

Thanks!
