Roof M Stripes?

Sounds good guys. We should have a sample here Thurs or Friday looks like. I'll apply it on a carbon roof panel we have around the shop. Just want to make sure I get the right amount of transparency etc.

Forget the transparency. I always thought it would be sweet to do a few little M stripes on the CF roof right in the corner of the windshield and driver door above the drivers head. Just like there was a little patch on the E36 M seats I believe.

Ok guys! Got a chance to lay all the print samples out on an E46 M3 carbon roof panel that had laying around for display uses. We did about 6 different versions all with different levels of transparency or tint to them to get the right amount of light to show through and pop on the carbon yet still show the color vividly enough in low light as well.

Here are a few pics of the test panel and one close up to give you guys an idea what it looks like. THESE ARE NOT FINAL PRINTS. Final prints will have the decal start and end where the color starts/stops just like the one on the M4 prototype. These actually have some data on each decal in the clear over-run area for the testing.

Decals are printed on clear then also have a laminated clear protective coat bonded in the processing for long term durability and UV protection.

We are hoping to get these going this coming week and start offering them before end of month. If we can get a rough show of hands here it would help us also see how many to make. Estimated price is around $75 range ea. roughly.

Nice! Count me in for a set when they are ready. Is the final product going to be similar to the concept cars (a bit more narrow than these examples)?

Count me in too! Just a quick question, is that clear vinyl left and right of the colors? Hoping to not get such a visible clear "bra" so to say, needs to be as close as possible to the prototype M4. However as prototypes they are sick! The one on the far left looks amazing, just needs to be a bit thinner...

I agree, removing the clear vinyl on either side would be great.

Already addressed the clear area in my text above

So to answer the question directly, yes that's clear to the sides and no that will not be there on the final decals. It's just extra over run that has some data printed on it is we know which is which sample.

The clear area will not be there in the final product as mentioned previously the decal will start/stop where the color starts and ends.
