What only matters is that you like it.

Do you miss the armrest/storage/USB /aux? I like the convenience of those items and wouldnt replace it with a CS center because its not an upgrade for me. If it matches your interior theme better, thats great.

I never use the storage of the arm rest or the USB port. Only miss the arm rest on long tips. Looking to get the suede in carbon to match all the OEM carbon in the car. I am also looking for the CS seats. My buddy has them and they look amazing with the white exterior.

Quick question, Is the alcantara on a CS black or anthracite? The M performance stuff like E brake and 6spd shifters use black. Just wondering if the M performance stuff would match the CS interior. From pics, it looks like its anthracite.

Thanks,

Thanks,
Its anthracite, if you look in the picture with the shifter. the Alcantara around the shifter is black where the cs panel is anthracite. This is why I am looking carbon all the anthracite alcantara. Here is a closer picture [IMG]

Love it! I get jelly cause that center console gets in the way since I sit as low as possible but far enough back that my elbow hits the console on turn due to my frame/proportions (tallish with long legs)

Nice! I have been kicking around the idea of putting a CS console in my F80 for quite some time now.

Did you have to remove the heater/cooling ducting for the rear seats to make it fit?

In my case, not just no but hell no. I cannot imagine one of my 17 hour drives back or forth from Miami/St. Louis with no armrest.

Glad you like it though, that's all that matters.

Thanks,
  • GTS/CS is anthracite (9052)
  • Most M Performance trims are black (9040)
  • German OEM alcantara is typically dark grey (9002) this is also the same stuff they used on the M Performance V2 wheel

Thanks for that. Im pretty sure the M performance V2 wheel is black and not dark grey. It matches the M performance stuff exactly... I own a V2 wheel and also a electronic wheel and they are the same black as other m performance pieces.

Here is a pic comparing dark grey rewrapped stock wheel to V2 wheel.

It's a bit of a grey area sorry couldn't resist

I spent a long while with Alcantara's own swatch book trying to match the V2 wheel when I was copying the GTS dashboard design. In the end I settled on 9002 as 9040 (black) was far too dark. The problem is every supplier has their own take on the colours and shades so BMW's could be an entirely different variation.. for me personally 9002/9008 is the colour I now use in my car.

I actually just sent my V2 wheel off to my upholstery guy for a refresh so I took the opportunity to let him use my 9002, that way I know for definite everything will match and keep my OCD at bay haha.

Bit of an older thread but I picked up a CS center console from a wrecked car for the low, looking to retrofit it.

I'd like to retain the rear heated seat buttons, and MAYBE the vents if possible. The only way so far I've thought of doing this is cutting the side of the CS console up and attaching the buttons to the sides of the console itself. Thoughts? I think it may look a bit too tacky but curious if anyone has some ideas

Did you get this from the guy in New Jersey???

You beat me to it!!! lol. You got that for an absolute robbery!!! Congrats Man!

Yeah the vents and the buttons are what delayed me from buying it. I would've probably just sold it and made a hefty profit which you still can.
