M3 and M4 spotting in Vegas

Was in Vegas this weekend and was super excited to see these turning onto the main street. I had thought it was the new 4 series and the new M3 sedan but wasn't sure until I saw another post of the spotting this weekend in Vegas.

Not to exciting pics btw. Ignore the toy cat on the dashboard. It's my GF's car and she's obsessed with cats!

Not a place to drive around and be inconspicuous. Especially with that camo...

Right? I get so excited when I see the camouflage. Excited it was actually something nobodys seen yet!

True...but what's funny is that nobody on that street corner seems to even notice them. Must not be any car people in that crowd for if I were there...I'd be chasing them down the street on foot trying to get pics...much to the dismay of my girlfriend

Realistically I would do the same thing. I would probably scream, take pictures, and then talk about it for a month.

The inner child would want to jump inside the car and go for a ride.

No one would have noticed if those cars didn't have any camo on the strip, but were just blacked out instead. They were clearly driving that route for kicks.

So many M3/M4's spotted in Vegas lately. Seems like BMW test engineers are enjoying the vegas strip and casinos more than going out and testing these cars.

I think I'll wait till all the bugs are sorted out the first MY and 2nd after seeing so many Vegas pics!

Good catch. Looks like your pics were put along side mine in the other Vegas thread. Nice to see they are still here I thought they were gone.

Why would cars being designed and made in Germany be tested in Vegas?

Lots of manufacturers ship their cars to the states to do environmental testing. Such as going to Death Valley where its 125-130F degrees outside. They test the limits of the cars and see if the various heat exchangers are doing their job or not, if not than they make revisions, etc. I'm sure there are many other reasons why also.

They commence Hot Weather testing every year especially in Death Valley.
You will probably see upcoming pictures of many BMW models testing in the Nevada area, including cars like the MINI and Active Tourer.

There is also the lure of a cheap Steak or Lobster dinner in Vegas.

The angle at witch the hood/bonnet slopes only at the very end of the hood instead of at a steady angle ,and the long front overhang , are some of the visual negatives that bug me . Might be some help to some who feel something is off compared to older m3s.
What makes E46 m3s and E92 m3s pretty from the side is just how quickly the hood line plunges IMMEDIATELY after the front wheels. That combined with a hood line that has a steady sloped angle from windsheild to front .
My two cents . Still might buy one though !!
If someone on here could get us the distance between centre wheel and front bumper on both cars , as well as the height of the hood from the ground at the very front edge of the front tire where it meets the wheel arch. That would be awesome ......

My thoughts exactly! Can't get used to the weird slope. The nose looks like it's been smashed down in the front.

You can blame changing pedestrian laws/regulations in Europe for that change...
I agree that it doesn't look good. However, considering the aggressive stance of the 4 series, I'm excited to see the upcoming M4.
