Changing pads and I noticed L and R... what does that mean?
The reason I ask is because the pads are still new I’m just going with a low dusting pad and it seems like sometimes l is on the top ad sometimes R is on the top. I can’t figure out a rhyme or reason to why they are marked like that.

Which pads? Photos?
There's also a forum titled "Suspension | Brakes | Chassis" and you should have posted this there.

Are they oem ?
L R means left right. Some pads have angled transitions to be put against the direction of the rotor. Also maybe this will help |

They indicate the fitting position. In the case of these pads, they can be fitted anywhere.
