It just doiesn't sound urgent... but does sound similar but more raspy than a 335is... but more planted and swifter... you can tell there isn't as much weight being kicked around... it will look good but I hope they do something with the interior

I hope the rear end will match the front ends aggressiveness like the current E9x M. IMO the new non-M 4's rear end is bland. Same goes for the new E-Class.
It's starting to sound much better and normal. If it sounds like the 335iS I think it'd be perfect. |

I believe it will be great when it is ready. Faster than its predecessor and without the heavy fuel consumption.

Sounds like my old e36 (mild cams, 11:1 compression, UUC exhaust), just slightly muted.
Also - do I detect lift-throttle burbles???!?!? Saweet! I perfectly fine w/ this sound so long as this package is lighter, and has clearly more torque than the e9x v8. Lack of torque, high weight, which lead to poor mpg,... kept me out of the e9x. Let's hope the my M4 has a dash of 1M! |

To each their own, but it sounds too "ricey" for my taste.
I wonder if it growls & grumbles upon start up like a mean bitch?! Do like the body style, but is that a power dome on the hood? Why on Earth would an Inline-6 Twin-Turbo need that? Did they raise it up to look bigger or something like the V8? IMO BMW is now faking the funk by sticking with a power dome for an Inline-6. They should just add the dome to every future 335 series as well. LOL!

I drive a 330 so I don't know shit about power but it handles great, my grandma has a f30 and it is perfect for her. I've never had a chance to push it like my car but her steering felt like a Honda odyssey so Mercs couldn't be worse than that.

You realize the E46 M3 had that as well to go along with it's I6? Not sure if it's functional, but looks like they'll be doing it on M3s from here on out.

e46 M3 also introduced the quad exhausts for Ms. Which made no sense either. Defn a form over function call. The Dinan's aftermarket exhaust, simply bypassed the two of the pipes. lol.

Actually, the quad exhaust first appeared on the Z3 M Roadster and Coupe, but you are right about the form over function when it is used on an I-6.
