This I admit here freely and at a tire dealership, never at home.

(actually, other than being ridiculously too much car, the other draw back to the E63 AMG is that it loses the flip-up-backward facing 3rd row seat in the back of the wagon. which kids think is cool (making funny faces at the drivers behind and what not) made that car a real no-go for us.) |

GT. Wagons are boring as shit. I can imagine in the US the novelty factor might be quite high because you don't get so many of the tourers over there - over here they're abundant, and simply blend in. The GT looks different (and pretty good in the flesh, IMO).
Also, as I've always felt, the tourer doesn't offer as much benefit over the saloon as the GT does. I think if you're going to compromise the cars dynamics, you may as well get a useful amount more space (passenger & luggage). IIRC one of the reasons why there haven't been more M wagons in the past was to do with the rear suspension layout compromising/being compromised by the load area. |

I'm planning on keeping my E90M for the foreseeable future ( $ reasons, not because I don't want the new on ), but if BMW rolled out an M3 wagon, I'd be the first in line.

Include M4 Gran Cooupe in this poll
The M4 Gran Coupe should have been included in this poll. Were it available, I might have well ordered it instead of my M4 coupe which is now on the Pacific and due in Port Hueneme next Wednesday. I've always liked hatchbacks for their practicality. An M3 wagon would have been good as well.

Wagon.
Just as an afterthought they could have rebranded the wagon as like the "x3" or something now that they have the x4. . . I hate their naming lol

The issue is will it sell? A 100+ want it over the GT but that's a limited sampling and you're only choices are wagon and GT. The buying public would see the M3, M4 and the vaporware GT and wagon. From a business standpoint, I don't see a business case for the wagon to be developed given the chassis changes that would be needed.
Given a choice between the M3 (a for sure buy for me in a couple years) and the wagon (which I voted for), I'd still pick the M3 at my stage in life (one year out from an empty nester). If I had smaller kids to drive around, it would be a hard choice between the M3 and wagon. |

That's because wagons have been big time sales flops for BMW in the US market.
