Most don't fit right. You can do some slight shaving to make it better. It takes a lot of trial. Be careful with breaking the tabs.

Got both for $399 with 15% off. Fingers crossed they fit and are of good quality!

Did you ever get the diffuser installed?

Aliexpress $360 Diffuser

So I had my eye on a Vorsteiner diffuser ever since I got the M4 but it was just way to expensive IMO. So I went on Aliexpress and I found this beauty for $360 shipped. It had good reviews but no one posted any photos of it. So I thought Id show you guys what it looks like on my car.

Personally I love it, for the price the quality of the carbon fiber is incredible its not fiber glass wrapped in carbon fiber which is awesome. I will upload a video soon showing closer shots of the diffuser and its fitment but for what I paid and the quality of the product its self its an easy 10/10.

The white M4 is equiped with the real Vorsteiner Diffuser. The Sakhir Orange is My M4 with the Aliexpress Diffuser.

To see more photos of the diffuser follow my Instagram and Youtube where Id be uploading a review on it.

Looks like another seller has the same one, and it came to $277.98 shipped.

Link

Just placed my order - will let y'all know how it turns out.

It's a new user, so hopefully they're legit.

Sorry for the delay in follow up, but the rear diffuser setup from AliExpress is installed and complete! Pictures attached.

Delivery took a swift four days to arrive from...

  • Vehicle: M4
  • Part: Vorsteiner Style Rear Diffuser w/ Bumper Accents
  • Brand: Some Chinese People on AliExpress
  • AliExpress Link: BatStyling Store
  • Fitment (Poor)1-10(Best), Reason for Score: 8.25.
    Diffuser
With most of these Chinese diffuser components, it seems the general consensus is they tend to "bow" and "flex" inwards upon installation. A local performance fabrication & autobody shop of mine constructs custom carbon fiber components from their own in-house molds and has dealt with various replica and knock off parts producers. Their general experience and notion is that a lot of these components that suffer the "flex" and "bow" point to the producer likely pulling the fabricated pieces from the molds prematurely and they lose their true/intended form before fully curing.

That being said, the diffuser itself suffers from a very slight "bow" towards the center of the piece. It's genuinely not noticeable or detrimental to the appearance unless you're conscientious of the fact or super anal about it. Personally, it doesn't bother me as it isn't drastic.

Another detail to be noted, as pictured, is the diffuser does not perfectly align and follow the curvature of the bumper's diffuser cutout on the very edge where it meets with the bumper accents/extensions. It is likely related to the piece(s) being pulled from the mold prematurely, as previously explained. This too doesn't quite bother me as it may others since it's very minimal, considering the price I paid is going to fall in the "not perfect" but thankfully avoids the "total shit" category.

The aforementioned body and fabrication shop is going to let me swing by to see if they can correct this with some heating and flexing of the piece.

    Bumper Accents/Extensions
Absolutely perfect. They follow the underside and body line of the bumper and the 90 degree angle feeds and rear accents meet perfectly to the diffuser. There are no pre-drilled holes on these pieces, but they do have the indentations for such and perfectly lined up when I drilled through the center.

I also used genuine 3M double sided tape to keep them in place alongside with adhesive promoter to prep both the accent surface and underside of the bumper surface. I have not seen many users stating that they use the adhesion promoter, but it should always be used when installing components you intend to leave on long-term. Using it as it will create a Herculean grip for double-sided tape applications.

3M 4298 is the correct product and it is offered in single-use sponge applicator packets.
  • Quality (Poor)1-10(Best), Reason for Score: 10.0.
Aside from the fitment issues, the weave is excellent, the clearcoat is even and visibly thick, and the side extensions are sturdy and durable.
  • Item List Price: $318.49 via the website, $312.99 via the AliExpress App and vendor coupon.
  • Item Price Paid: $274.49, thanks to having been their first order and an introductory sale.
  • Shipping Price/Shipping Speed: Included, with tracking via EMS/USPS. Took four days to arrive.
  • Item Location: One more time, because this gif is so relevant for this thread...

In closing, I applied ceramic coating to protect the pieces from potential clearcoat fading and UV exposure.

^ Can you post some pics where the sides align to the bumper towards the rear fender well? It looks a smidge short but hard to tell from the angle of the pictures. Just clicked the AliExpress link and the price jumped to $318.

I'll snag some additional photos once I pick it up. Just dropped it off to have a mystery oil leak investigated...

It lines up along the bumper lines, I think there's a bit of shadow or the way the angle at which I took the photographs... my fault!
