Idrive screen

So I recently purchased and installed an 8.8” touchscreen to my 2016. I had it coded by Kubax to run idrive 6. However; the new screen only displays a “no signal” on the screen. Does that mean it isn’t possible to use this screen as just a straight swap?

What screen did you puchase? BMW? For F80? For another BMW? Aftermarket?
From whom?
Is it new or used?
If used, was it working before you got it?
Was it working before it got coded for iDrive 6?

I’m sorry, it was an OEM 8.8” touchscreen from another bmw. (I believe an f30), from a seller on eBay. It was new. And I had no issues with idrive 6 beforehand, I just swapped it thinking I could code the touch feature (which apparently isn’t as simple as I thought it’d be).

From what I understand, you need coding for the new screen to work. Contact kubax86 again.

You should tell kubax86 the BMW part number for the screen you installed so he can make sure the head unit is coded to the correct resolution and other settings for that particular display.
