I think this video solves the question about the break in period service. At the 1:09 point in the video, it says 1200mi remaining until service. I'm sure the car is new and doesn't have 8800 miles on it, so this makes sense.

The M3 looks a lot better than the M4.

Geez, I listened to the N-ring footage and sounded decent and then I listen to this!?!? whats the deal? why does it sound so terrible? I think descriptions of sounding like a lawnmower is a generous analogy...I'd say more like a leaf-blower!

I've been a pretty vocal skeptic thus far about the cars sound. And of course, as already pointed out you can't tell much from a youtube video. Those things being said I though the sound was quite good. Definitely a bit of the E46 M3 rasp in there, which I have always liked. Lastly, these cars might sound better under no load than under load...

Well, I know some stick with the stock exhaust setup but I'll be installing a Meisterschaft electronic valve cat back on my car. I had a similar setup on my 1M and the car sounded great. I bet the M3/M4 will sound similar to the 1M once installed.

Look post #67. In video exhaust flaps are closed, exhaust gasses coming only inner pipes.

I think it sounded great. Reminiscent of the E46, and sufficiently different from the standard 3 turbo cars.

Sounding good or bad is debatable. The rear IMO and especially diffuser is another story that just looks awful. Saving for something else that is more exciting

That's your opinion, I saw them in person yesterday and both look amazing and aggressive.

The post does not define the troll.

The poster does, however.

You have a Join date of January 2014. You've accumulated 53 posts thus far. The majority of which are disparaging the F80 or the "girls" who are interested in purchasing the car.

Smells like a troll, sounds like a troll, and looks like a troll.

Don't feed the troll.

It's hard to pick up exhaust sounds on video. Hopefully it'll sound better in person

I get what you are saying. I do have some questions. Why does it matter that people who don't CURRENTLY drive an M3 are posting about the upcoming M3/M4? Can ONLY M3 drivers chime in on these "sacred" M matters? I can tell you the difference between a normal member and a troll though. It is the person's approach that screams troll. If you punch someone in the face after introducing yourself, you probably won't make many friends. This is the same logic of coming onto a forum without having established yourself and feel that you are going to be respected. Funny thing these days. All of the younger generation thinks that respect is automatic. That is simply not the truth. Respect is earned. Also, no one said anything about being banned.

Now - if I could just get over the iPad stapled to the dashboard.
I have the "iPad stapled to the dash" in my F30. It will take you about 1 day to get used to it. Then you will love it, and wonder why it bothered you so much to begin with.

Back on topic... no matter what the M4/M3 sounds like from the factory, I plan to change it out for an aftermarket exhaust. They tend to sound much better, look better, and shave some weight.
