Looking at the list in Post# 159, I don't think so. My car was made in August . Should have been 08 and not 07 if that were true.

Just as a reference, my build date was March 17, 2016 and my current ISTA version is F020-16-03-501, or software version 58.0. I'm going to try to get updated to 58.4 when I go in for my break in service.

Don't assume you're on the latest version with a recent build like I did.

My initial drive after the update showed a slightly lazier DCT , but after a few drives is back it the way it was. I think it was a re-learning thing.

I've asked and our source doesn't have any. I believe they exist, but unobtainable! Most OS'es (Win, *nix, iOS, OS X) have some kind of release notes ... Even for the minor updates.

They will only update software free under warranty for the following conditions (non exhaustive list):
1. you have a reproducable fault that it's documented that it requires a software update
2. You have a non reproducible fault but it's documented to do it
3. they like you and do it anyways (you complain about silly iDrive issues, or "dangerous" DSC behaviour, or you want latest bcoz everyone else has it, ...)

And few people mentioned in this thread that their dealer refused to do it if condition 1 isn't met.

You are welcome, and if it's any consolation, given your car's sw is one of the oldest reported in this thread, you may experience the most improvements like going from a Motorola AMPS cell phone to an iPhone 6S+ (just kidding)
