Would a BMW dealership sabotage my car to profit from future service visits?

Hello.

My factory warranty is ending soon. Do any of you think that a dealership would purposely go inside the hood, and replace random parts/ make the car have future problems? I always get sketched out with bringing my car to a dealership when they have it for more than a few days. I didnt have the best relationship with the dealership but I dont know if theres any possibility of them really messing with any cars that they service..

Im not assuming that they are or arent but I guess it was just a question in mind since my warranty is ending soon.

Thanks!

Only a very shady repair shop would even consider playing with your car. I would say your worries are unfounded.

Not familiar with UK industry practice but here in the States, I would be very surprised. If they got caught doing that they could be prosecuted, lose their franchise, etc. So here...highly unlikely.

That sounds like a conspiracy theory to me.
There are conspiracies around, but this is unheard of.

I think you're paranoid if that's a serious question.

Ive asked myself this question a while back. Realise now I was being a bit overly concerned and suspicious . But with all the stories I heard I cant blame myself.
